1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 1/2 cups Corn Chex™ cereal
1 1/2 cups Rice Chex™ cereal
1 1/2 cups Wheat Chex™ Cereal
1/2 cup raisins, dried cranberries or dried cherries

Steps:

  • In small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon; set aside.
  • In large microwavable bowl, microwave butter uncovered on High about 40 seconds or until melted. Stir in cereals until evenly coated. Microwave uncovered 2 minutes, stirring after 1 minute.
  • Sprinkle half of the sugar mixture evenly over cereals; stir. Sprinkle with remaining sugar mixture; stir. Microwave uncovered 1 minute. Stir in raisins. Spread on paper towels to cool.

This sweet, chewy snack mix is addictive. It has been a family favorite for years. When I'm craving something sweet, I always make this. You can add extras to make it your own, or just enjoy as is. You better make a double batch, because it goes quickly.

3 cups Cheerios toasted oat cereal
6 cups Corn Chex
2 cups raisins
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1 1/3 cups brown sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the cereal and raisins.
  • In a saucepan, bring to boil butter, syrup, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Boil 3 minutes, stirring regularly.
  • Remove from heat and pour over cereal mixture.
  • Stir until completely coated.
  • Spread mix on clean countertop or wax paper to cool.
  • Store in airtight container in refrigerator.

4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
½ cup shortening
1 cup milk
⅓ cup butter, softened
¾ cup packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
½ cup raisins

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Grease 12 muffin cups or line with paper muffin liners.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal. Add milk all at once to dry ingredients and stir with a fork until a soft dough is formed. Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface and knead gently 8 to 10 times. Roll out to a 12 inch square.
  • Gently spread butter over dough. Combine brown sugar, cinnamon and raisins. Sprinkle evenly on top of dough. Roll up dough lightly like a jelly-roll. Seal edge. Cut into twelve 1 inch thick pieces. Place in prepared muffin tins.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 14 to 18 minutes, until golden. Remove from heat immediately. Serve warm.

If you are looking for a cinnamon-raisin biscuit that tastes like the pros, you have to try these amazing biscuits baked in an iron skillet. I've tried many other recipes but they didn't come close. I came up with this recipe myself and I must say there pretty darn close to the pros.

2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 cups all-purpose baking mix (such as Bisquick®)
¼ cup white sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ cup raisins
⅓ cup butter-flavored shortening (such as Crisco®)
¾ cup milk
¾ cup confectioners' sugar
2 tablespoons milk, or more as needed

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Add oil to a skillet and place in the oven to heat.
  • Combine baking mix, sugar, cinnamon, and raisins in a medium-sized bowl and mix well. Cut in shortening using a fork until crumbly. Add milk until a soft dough form and mixture pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
  • Knead dough on a floured surface until no longer sticky. Press dough out using fingers to 1/2-inch thick. Use a 2 1/2-inch round cutter to cut out about 10 biscuits.
  • Remove skillet from the oven and place biscuits in the hot oil with sides touching.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, about 10 minutes.
  • While biscuits bake, mix confectioners' sugar and milk together in a bowl. Frost biscuits while still warm and serve.

1/4 cup honey
1 teaspoon grated orange peel
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, mix cereals, raisins and pecans.
  • In 2-cup microwavable measuring cup, microwave butter uncovered on High 30 seconds to 1 minute or until melted; stir in honey, orange peel and cinnamon. Pour over cereal mixture, tossing to coat evenly. Spread evenly in ungreased broiler pan or 15x10x1-inch pan.

1/2 cup mixed dry roasted nuts
1/2 cup sunflower seed
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup raisins

Steps:

  • 1. Break crackers into bite-size pieces. Line 15 x 10 x 1-inch baking pan with foil. Lightly coat with nonstick cooking spray. Spread cracker pieces, nuts and sunflower seeds on foil.2.
