This chocolate protein ice cream recipe is dairy free and packed with protein! Make it for dessert or a tasty post protein treat.

2 cups frozen sliced bananas
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
¼ cup chocolate protein powder (any kind)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2-4 tablespoon unsweetened almond milk*
Rainbow sprinkles (for topping)

Steps:

  • Place all ingredients into a high-speed blender or food processor.
  • Process on high until a smooth, thick consistency has been formed. Option to add more milk by the tablespoon as needed.
  • Soft-serve: serve immediately.
  • Ice cream: line a parchment-lined bread loaf. Then, place into the freezer for 1 to 2 hours to firm up. Use an ice cream scoop to serve.
  • Top with sprinkles and enjoy!

1/4 cup milk or 1/4 cup non-dairy milk substitute
2 tablespoons almond butter or 2 tablespoons peanut butter
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1 scoop chocolate protein powder (I used Nuzest)
1/2 tablespoon chocolate chips or 1/2 tablespoon cacao, nibs
2 bananas, frozen, chopped into chunks
1/4 cup milk or 1/4 cup non-dairy milk substitute
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I used Nuzest)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract or 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Steps:

  • Chocolate:.
  • Place bananas, milk, almond butter, cocoa powder and protein powder into a food processor or high speed blender.
  • Blend until smooth and creamy, about 3 or 4 minutes.
  • Stir (or blend) in chocolate chips (optional).
  • Serve ice cream in a bowl and enjoy and garnish as desiered!
