1 cup rolled oats
½ cup natural peanut butter
⅓ cup honey
¼ cup chopped dark chocolate
2 tablespoons flax seeds
2 tablespoons chia seeds
1 tablespoon chocolate-flavored protein powder, or to taste

Steps:

  • Stir oats, peanut butter, honey, chocolate, flax seeds, chia seeds, and protein powder together in a bowl until evenly mixed. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Scoop chilled mixture into balls. Keep cold until serving.

Unlike protein balls bought at stores which are often filled with sugar and butter, this recipe was designed with healthy ingredients which include healthy fats and natural sweeteners but still tastes great! Satisfy that chocolate craving and don't feel guilty about it!

3/4 cup chocolate protein powder
1 cup roughly ground walnuts
1/4 cup roughly ground pepita seeds
1/4 cup roughly ground sunflower seeds
1/4 cup almond meal
1/2 cup coconut flour
1 cup quick oats
2 tablespoons raw cacao powder
1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
1/4 cup melted coconut oil
1/2 cup honey
1/3 cup water
shredded coconut, for rolling balls into

Steps:

  • Place all ingredients into a large mixing bowl.
  • Mix until all combined.
  • Make mixture into balls and roll in shredded coconut.
  • Refrigerate in an airtight container.

  • If using, first make the Walnut Butter, adding the optional salt and maple syrup. Set aside; wash and dry the food processor.
  • Then, to a (dry) food processor, add the oats, protein powder, cocoa powder and hemp seeds. Process 20-30 seconds until broken into small pieces.
  • Add the peanut butter, walnut butter (or nut butter of choice), and dates. Process until fully combined. Test to make sure the mixture will form (and stay) in a ball. If it’s too dry, add a little nut butter (in 1 tablespoon increments). If too wet, add a little cocoa powder or hemp seeds.
  • Form into balls. Makes 12 balls. Enjoy immediately or refrigerate. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
