Steps:
- Grease the bottom of a 9x13 pan. Set aside.
- In a large pot, melt the butter over medium-low heat.
- Reduce heat to low and add the marshmallows. Stir often until the marshmallows are melted and totally incorporated with the butter. Do not overcook or you'll have hard treats!
- Add the vanilla and stir to combine.
- Turn off the heat and pour in the cereal. Gently fold in the marshmallow mixture until all of the cereal is fully coated.
- Transfer the cereal mixture into the greased pan. Lightly press the mixture so you have a nice even layer throughout the pan.
- Allow the treats to cool, cut them into any size squares you like.
- Next, add the chocolate chips into a small bowl. Microwave in 15-20 second intervals stirring each time until chocolate is completely melted and smooth. If the chocolate seems too thick, add about 1 teaspoon of vegetable or coconut oil until the chocolate is shiny and stirs easily.
- Dip each Rice Krispies treat in chocolate and lightly shake off any excess chocolate. You can dip just the top or dunk half of the bar into the melted chocolate. If desired, add sprinkles to the top while the chocolate is still wet.
- Place the dipped treats on a sheet of wax paper to set up. Allow the chocolate to harden before serving.

25 THINGS TO DIP IN CHOCOLATE - THE CRAFTY CHICA
From craftychica.com
Estimated Reading Time 5 mins
- Fruit: So the obvs choices for a chocolatey dip, are fruits. Apple slices, orange slices or peels, pineapple, bananas, you get it. Pretty much any sweet or tart fruit can be dipped in chocolate and I am definitely all here for that.
- Peppermint leaves: I mean, we love the combo of peppermint and chocolate in desserts and sweets right? So it only makes sense that the leaf itself would be delicious as an after dinner dipped treat!
- Crickets: Ok, well I’m not so sure about this one. People have compared a chocolate covered cricket to a Crunch bar…….not sure if I’m buying it. You can catch the crickets and make your own!
- Gingerbread Cookies: Um…… I don’t care if it’s an Oreo, an oatmeal or a gluten free-vegan-coconut flower cookie. Or gingerbread cookie in the spring.
- Bacon: Don’t you dare lie to me and tell me you have never had a chocolate dipped bacon fantasy….don’t you dare! Who better to show us than Better Homes & Gardens?
- Donuts: Does more need to be said? … Oh wait yes! Here is a Food Network recipe for the perfect chocolate-dippy doughnut.
- Pie: Definitely pie. Yes, a whole slice of lime pie dipped in dark, gooey goodness. Debb Marie shares her methods here.
- Cheesecake: Because reasons. Check out this mouth-watering photo-heavy post from HugsAndCookiesXoXo.com.

- The amount of dippers you'll need, will depend on whether you coat the entire dipper or only part of it. With 8 ounces coating, you should end up with about 50 pieces of completely coated treats. The hardest part is choosing what to dip. Use your imagination to add to the list of ideas below:
- In a heavy saucepan melt 8 ounces chocolate- or vanilla-flavored candy coating over low heat, stirring candy constantly. To make dipping easier and safer, pour the melted chocolate into a fondue pot and gather around the table to dip.

- In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the marshmallows and stir until melted and smooth. Remove from the heat and stir in the rice krispies. Press the mixture into the prepared pan(s) and set aside to cool for about an hour.
- Using a 2 to 3-inch heart-shaped cookie cutter, press the cutter into the cooled rice krispie treats, removing the heart-shaped treats to a wax paper or parchment paper-lined baking sheet or work space. If you minimize space between the hearts, you should be able to cut out right around 24 hearts. Feel free to do what you like with the extra scraps (we had no trouble coming up with a solution).
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt 12 ounces chocolate chips on 50% power for one minute. Stir. Continue this process until the mixture is melted and smooth but not overheated.
