CANDY-COATED STRAWBERRY CARROTS

Steps:
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the candy melts in a small deep microwave-safe bowl or glass measuring cup and microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring, until smooth, about 2 minutes. Stir in the coconut oil until smooth.
- Dip the strawberries in the melted candy and swirl until fully coated. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet. When all the strawberries are coated, drizzle some of the remaining melted candy back and forth across the strawberries with a spoon to make horizontal lines. Set aside in a cool place until the candy sets, about 1 hour.
- Peel the candy-coated strawberries off the paper and trim any uneven edges. Serve on a bed of chocolate sprinkles.

Got this recipe off Pinterest. They are so cute. Cooking time is cooling time. I used Wilton orange colored melting chocolate, but I am sure you could use white melting chocolate and color it orange.

- Mix chocolate and food colorings in medium bowl until blended.
- Cover baking sheet with waxed paper. Dip strawberries, 1 at a time, into chocolate mixture, turning to completely coat strawberry; gently shake strawberry over bowl to remove excess chocolate. Place strawberries on prepared baking sheet.
- Spoon remaining melted chocolate into resealable plastic bag; press excess air from bag, then seal bag. Cut small piece off one bottom corner of bag; use to pipe horizontal lines onto strawberries to resemble carrots as shown in photo.
- Refrigerate 30 min. or until chocolate is firm.

- Step 1: Pour 2 cups of dark chocolate chips and 1tsp. of butter into a microwaveable bowl.
- Step 2: Place in the microwave, and microwave for approximately 30 seconds.
- Step 3: Take out and stir chocolate with a spoon, repeat this step until your chocolate is smooth.
- Step 4: Cut strawberries in ½, so each ½ gets part of the stem.
- Step 5: Place a piece of wax paper on a plate.
- Step 6: Take a strawberry and dip ½ of it in the dark chocolate.
- Step 7: Gently place the strawberry on the plate.
- Step 8: Repeat step 6-7 until you use all strawberries.
- Step 9: Refrigerate for an hour and ½ or until solid.
- Step 10: Enjoy your dark chocolate covered strawberries.

- Process chocolate cookies in a food processor to create about 1 cup of crumbs. Smashing the cookies in a zip top bag will work in a pinch but the creme filling tends to still be seen.
- Melt orange candy melts in microwave according to package directions. See note below to make your own with white chocolate chips and food coloring.Place about 3 to 4 tablespoons of the melted coating in a pastry bag or zip top bag. Snip the end of the pastry bag or corner of a zip top bag according to how thick you'd like the drizzle.
- Place a piece of wax or parchment paper on a baking sheet or the countertop. Dip the strawberries in the melted candy coating about three-fourths of the way up the strawberries and place on the wax paper. Quickly drizzle with candy coating in the bag. Let stand at least 10 minutes to firm up.
