1 onion, chopped
1 tablespoon chili powder
16 ounces canned kidney beans
16 ounces canned tomatoes
1 quart water
1 cup small macaroni noodles, cooked

Steps:

  • Brown beef and onion.
  • Stir in chili powder; add kidney beans, tomatoes and water.
  • Bring to a boil; reduce to simmer and cook covered for 1 1/2 hours.
  • Fold in cooked macaroni and simmer for 15 minutes more.
  • May be prepared ahead and refrigerated.
  • Serves 10.

This is a fantastic soup! It's easy and it's a one pan meal. I like to switch types of beans, kidney, black, pinto, even black eyed. You can make it hotter, or use less pepper sauce for milder. 1/2 lb ground beef, cooked and drained
1/2 lb sausage, cooked and drained
1 (15 ounce) canned kidney beans, undrained
1 (15 ounce) canned black beans, rinsed and drained
2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans diced Mexican-style tomatoes
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (7 ounce) can ortega diced green chilies
1 (1 1/4 ounce) package ortega taco seasoning mix
1 small onion, chopped
2 cups loose-packed frozen corn
1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
2 cups water

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat to low; cook for 20 to 25 minutes.

1 tbsp olive oil
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 garlic clove, crushed
1 tbsp tomato purée
1 tsp mild chilli powder
½ tsp ground cumin
400g can chopped tomatoes
500ml vegetable stock
400g can mixed beans, drained and rinsed
1 red pepper, cut into chunky dice
tortilla chips, to serve
4 limes wedges, to serve

Steps:

  • Heat the oil in a deep saucepan and fry the chopped onion over a medium heat until tender. Add the garlic and tomato purée, stirring for 1-2 mins until combined. Sprinkle in the spices and cook for another 1 min.
  • Tip in the chopped tomatoes, half fill the can with water, and add to the pan. Pour in the stock and simmer on a medium heat for 10-15 mins, uncovered. Season, then whizz using a hand blender until smooth. Add the beans and red pepper, and cook for another 15 mins until the pepper is tender.
  • Serve in bowls topped with a small pile of tortilla chips and a lime wedge.

1/2 c chopped onion
1 can(s) whole tomatoes 28 oz
1 can(s) kidney beans 30 oz
1 can(s) chili beans 30 oz
1 c chopped celery
1 tsp chili powder
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 Tbsp flour
2 c water
1 Tbsp sugar

Steps:

  • 1. Brown hamburger, cook til down, drain and return to stove top pan.
  • 2. Add all Ingredients and simmer for about 1 hour. Stirring frequently.
  • 3. ** In Nebraska we serve our chili with cinnamon rolls and cheddar cheese, this is optional, but HIGHLY recommended, give it a try, you only live once! :)

15.25 oz can corn
15 oz mixed vegetables
29 oz can diced tomatoes ((2-14.5 oz cans) We used the roasted garlic and onion-- yum!)
10.75 oz can tomato soup
2 cups beef broth or water
Garnish: sour cream (shredded cheddar cheese)

Steps:

  • Brown your ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat and drain.
  • Place beef and onions in your crock pot.
  • Add all ingredients in cans (liquid and all) and broth/water.
  • Stir.
  • Cover and cook on low for 4 hours.
  • Serve with sour cream and shredded cheddar cheese.

2 potatoes, cubed

  • In a large pot over medium heat, combine the ground beef and onions. Saute for 5 minutes, or until meat is browned. 1 small onion , finely chopped
2 garlic cloves , finely chopped
1 tbsp vegetable oil
500g lean minced beef
410g can pinto or red kidney bean , drained
400g cans chopped plum tomatoes
700ml/1¼ pints hot chicken stock
large pinch of crushed dried chillies
2 squares of dark chocolate (try Lindt 85%)
fresh coriander or parsley leaves and some grated gruyère, to serve

Steps:

  • Gently fry the onion and garlic in the oil for a couple of minutes until beginning to soften, then add the mince. Raise the heat and cook for 5 minutes, stirring from time to time, until the meat is no longer pink.
  • Stir in the beans, tomatoes, stock, chillies, chocolate and plenty of salt and pepper. Bring to the boil, cover and simmer very gently for 1 hour, or longer if you have the time. (You can make it up to a day ahead to this point, then cool and chill.)
  • Ladle into mugs or large cups and scatter with herbs, cheese and black pepper. You'll need spoons to eat it.

1 can petite diced tomatoes
3 c. tomato juice
1 c. sliced mushrooms, optional
1 c. black olives, optional
1 - 2 Tbsp. chili powder (depending on how spicy you want it )
1 tsp. garlic salt
3/4 tsp. cumin powder
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt, or as needed to suit your taste

Steps:

  • Brown, crumble and drain your hamburger.
  • Put oil in large pot, add chopped garlic, onion, and pepper. Saute for a minute or two.
  • Add the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil.
  • Let it simmer for about 15 minutes, to get all the flavor incorporated.

1 15-oz. can pinto beans (drained and rinsed)

1 15-oz. can diced tomatoes
3 tablespoons tomato paste
1 tablespoon maple syrup
3 tablespoons chili powder
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
1 cup beef broth (chicken broth or water works too)
shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • First, heat a large stockpot over medium/high heat.
  • Then, add ground beef, yellow onion, and minced garlic and sauté for 7-10 minutes or until beef is fully browned.
  • Next, add pinto beans, kidney beans, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, and maple syrup to the pot and stir to combine.
  • Add spices and 1 cup of broth and stir to combine.

1tbsp sunflower oil
1 onion, peeled and chopped
1 red or green chilli, peeled and chopped
2 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
250g (8oz) minced beef
400g can chopped tomatoes
300-400g can red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 beef stock cube
1-2 cubes dark chocolate
1tbsp chopped fresh coriander
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Dash of Tabasco sauce

Steps:

  • Heat the oil in a large pan, add the onion and cook it over a medium heat for 4-5 mins, stirring it occasionally. Add the chilli and garlic and cook for a further 2-3 mins. Add the minced beef to the pan and cook for 4-5 mins, stirring occasionally until the meat has browned.
  • Pour 600ml (1 pint) water into the pan and add the chopped tomatoes and kidney beans. Crumble in the stock cube and stir until it's dissolved. Bring the mixture to the boil, then cover the pan and reduce the heat. Simmer the soup gently for 20-30 mins.
  • Remove the pan from the heat, add the chocolate. Stir until it melts and then stir in the coriander and season to taste with salt, pepper and Tabasco sauce.
  • Spoon the soup into serving bowls, pushing the meat towards the centre of the bowl. Place a small pile of nacho chips in the centre, so they rest on the meat, and then spoon some soured cream on top and scatter over some grated Cheddar. Serve immediately.

  • Prepare all ingredients as listed above. Heat the olive oil over medium heat in a large soup pot. Add the onions, red bell pepper, zucchini and celery and sweat about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are tender. Add the garlic, chipotle powder, corn, crushed tomatoes, kidney beans and 1/2 cup water. Cook another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally (careful not to let the garlic burn).
  • Add 3 cups purified water and vegetable bullion cubes, bring to a boil and let simmer 10 minutes to let the cubes dissolve. Reduce the heat to medium low and add the crushed red pepper flakes, cayenne, chili powder, cumin, salt, black pepper, thyme and honey; stir well to combine. Tip: double check that your bullion cubes do not contain salt. If they do, do not add any salt to the soup until all ingredients are added and you’ve tasted it to ensure it’s not over salted.
  • Let soup continue to cook another 10 -15 minutes; check your seasonings and add additional salt & pepper if needed before serving. Reduce the burner to warm if letting the soup sit on the stove for longer than 30 minutes.
