1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 garlic cloves, minced
3 cups tomato juice
1 can (16 ounces) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
6 ounces spaghetti, broken into 3-inch pieces
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 to 3 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a large skillet, cook the beef, onion and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Transfer to a greased 2-1/2-qt. baking dish; stir in the remaining ingredients. , Cover and bake for 65-70 minutes or until spaghetti is just tender. Let stand, covered, for 10 minutes.

8 oz spaghetti
1 lb ground beef
1 medium chopped onion
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp ground black pepper
15 oz chili with beans
15 oz undrained Italian style stewed tomatoes
1 1/2 cup, shredded, divided sharp Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1 1/2 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350° F. Spray 13x9-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and place in prepared dish.
  • Meanwhile, place beef and onion in large skillet; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Brown beef over medium-high heat until beef is no longer pink, stirring to separate.
  • Drain fat. Stir in chili, tomatoes with juice, 1 C. cheese, sour cream, chili powder, and garlic powder.
  • Add chili mixture to pasta; stir until pasta is well coated. Transfer contents to baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining half C. cheese.
  • Cover tightly with foil and bake 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

A simple casserole with a little zing! The zing comes from the taco sauce. This is a great dish for when you do not have much time to make dinner, but you want something that has substance and will fill you up! You can use any kind of cheese on top.

1 ½ pounds ground beef
½ cup chopped onion
3 stalks celery, chopped
1 (15 ounce) can chili
1 (14.5 ounce) can peeled and diced tomatoes with juice
¼ cup taco sauce
1 (15 ounce) can corn
1 (8 ounce) package egg noodles
¼ cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a large skillet over medium high heat, saute the beef and onion for 5 to 10 minutes, or until meat is browned and onion is tender; drain fat. Add the celery, chili, tomatoes, taco sauce and corn. Heat thoroughly, reduce heat to low and allow to simmer.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the noodles according to package directions. When cooked, place them in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Pour the meat mixture over the noodles, stirring well. Top with the cheese.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 20 minutes, or until cheese is completely melted and bubbly.

There are two variations in this. The first is to add an 8 ounce can sliced mushrooms to step 1. The other variation is to use 2 tablespoons chili powderinstead of 2 teaspoons chili powder.

2 teaspoons chili powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup shredded mild cheese
1 1/2 lbs browned ground beef
12 ounces cooked spaghetti

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker.
  • Cover, and cook on low for 4 hours, checking mixture half way through cooking time.
  • If it is becoming dry, stir in additional cup of tomato juice.

1 (8 ounce) package spaghetti
1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion, diced
1 (16 ounce) can stewed tomatoes, undrained
1 (16 ounce) can kidney beans, undrained
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Cook spaghetti as directed on package.
  • While spaghetti is cooking, cook beef and onion in 3 quart saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until beef is brown and onion is tender; drain.
  • Stir in tomatoes, beans, tomato sauce, chili powder and salt; breaking up tomatoes.
  • Cook, uncovered, over medium heat about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until as thick as you'd like.
  • Drain spaghetti; divide among dinner plates.
  • Top with chili mixture; sprinkle with cheese.

8 ounces spaghetti, uncooked
26 ounces fat free spaghetti sauce
15 ounces vegetarian chili
4 ounces mushrooms, drained
2 teaspoons chili powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 cup shredded reduced-fat sharp cheddar cheese
chopped onion (optional)

Steps:

  • Cook pasta according to package. Drain. While pasta cooks, mix sauce and next 4 ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat, simmer 10 minutes.
  • Coat a 13" x 9" baking dish with spray. Add pasta and top with sauce. (May be covered and refrigerated at this point. Bake 35 minutes or until heated).
  • Bake at 375F for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with cheese. Top with onions if desired.
