1 small head cabbage, finely shredded
1 small carrot, finely shredded

Steps:

Whisk buttermilk, mayonnaise, sugar, lemon juice, vinegar, salt, and pepper together in a bowl.
Toss cabbage and carrot together in a large bowl. Drizzle dressing over the cabbage mixture; toss to coat.
Cover bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate until chilled, at least 30 minutes.

Steps:

Whisk vinegar, sugar, mustard and salt together until sugar is dissolved. Add mayonnaise and whisk to mix. Add cabbage and carrots. Mix to combine. Refrigerate for 2 hours and serve.

1/4 cup carrots (finely chopped)
4 teaspoons vinegar ((white distilled))
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon dried mustard ((also called mustard powder))
1 cup mayonnaise

Steps:

Finely chop the shredded cabbage and carrots. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the vinegar, sugar, mustard powder, and salt until the sugar is dissolved.
Whisk the mayonnaise into the vinegar mixture.
Add the cabbage and carrots into the sauce and stir to combine.
Refrigerate for 2 hours until cold and serve.
