- Heat oven to 350°F. Drain cherries well, reserving liquid for glaze. Cut cherries in half; set aside.
- In 3-quart saucepan, melt chocolate chips and butter over low heat, stirring constantly; remove from heat. Stir in flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, vanilla and eggs. Stir in cherries and chocolate chunks. In ungreased 13x9-inch pan, spread batter evenly.
- Bake 32 to 37 minutes or until center is set. Cool completely, about 1 hour.
- In small bowl, mix glaze ingredients until smooth. Place glaze in resealable food-storage plastic bag. Cut off tiny corner of bag. Squeeze glaze in desired pattern on top of brownies. For brownies, cut into 6 rows by 4 rows.

- Whisk the flour, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl. Beat the butter, 1/2 cup granulated sugar and the brown sugar in a large bowl with a mixer on medium-high speed until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Beat in the egg, then beat in the jam, both extracts and the food coloring. Reduce the mixer speed to low and beat in the flour mixture until combined. Fold in the chocolate and dried cherries with a wooden spoon. Cover the dough and refrigerate until firm, at least 1 hour or overnight.
- Position racks in the upper and lower thirds of the oven; preheat to 375 degrees F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Put the remaining 1/2 cup granulated sugar in a medium bowl and sift the confectioners? sugar into a separate bowl. Roll heaping tablespoonfuls of dough into balls, then roll each ball in the granulated sugar and then the confectioners' sugar; shake off any excess. Arrange 2 inches apart on the prepared pans.
- Bake, switching the pans halfway through, until the cookies are cracked and dry on top, about 15 minutes. Let cool 3 minutes on the pans, then transfer to racks to cool completely.
CHOCOLATE CHUNK-TART CHERRY COOKIES
Add dried tart cherries to these chocolate chunk cookies for a little spin on chocolate-covered cherries.

- Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Beat the butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar with an electric mixer in a large bowl until fluffy. Add the vanilla and egg and beat to combine.
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl. Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and beat until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chunks and dried cherries.
- Scoop slightly mounded tablespoons of the dough and roll into balls. Arrange about 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, position oven racks in the top and bottom thirds of the oven and preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Bake until the cookies are set and golden on the bottom, 12 to 15 minutes. Let cool on the baking sheets for 10 minutes, then transfer to racks to cool completely.

- 1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Drain cherries well, reserving liquid for the Cherry Drizzle. Cut cherries in half; set aside.
- 2. Melt chocolate chips and butter in 3-quart saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly; remove from heat.
- 3. Stir in sugar, flour, vanilla, baking powder,salt and eggs. Stir in cherries and chocolate chunks.
- 4. Spread dough in ungreased rectangular 9x13 pan. Bake 32 to 37 minutes or until center is set. Cool completely, about 1 hour.
- 5. Make Cherry Drizzle. Mix powdered sugar and cherry liquid in small bowl with spoon until smooth. Number of drops of liquid used depends on how thick you want the drizzle to be...more like a glaze or more like a frosting!
- 6. Place Cherry Drizzle in resealable plastic food storage bag. Cut off tip of bag. Squeeze drizzle in desired pattern on top of brownies. Cut into 6 rows by 4 rows.

- In a medium bowl, with electric mixer, cream butter and sugars together until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla and beat until just combined. Set aside.

- Spray cookie sheets with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a large mixing bowl place half of the cake mix along with the peanut butter, softened butter and eggs.
- Blend with an electric mixer set on medium-high speed 1-2 minutes, until blended and smooth.
