Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a broiler pan with nonstick spray.
- Mix together the bread and milk in a bowl and set aside.
- Add the ground beef, bacon, eggs, chopped red onion, 2 tablespoons ketchup, 1 tablespoon mustard, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper to a large bowl. Add the soaked bread and mix with your hands, trying to keep the mixture light. Gently mix in the cubed Cheddar, making sure to distribute it evenly throughout the meat.
- Form the meat mixture into a loaf approximately 6 to 8 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches thick on the prepared pan. Mix the grated yellow onion with the remaining 1 cup ketchup, 1/4 cup mustard, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper in another bowl. Spread half of the sauce on top of the meatloaf. Tent the pan with foil and bake for 1 hour.
- Remove the foil, add the rest of the sauce and continue baking until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F and the meatloaf is no longer pink in the middle, another 35 to 40 minutes. Sprinkle on the grated Cheddar and return to the oven for 5 minutes to melt. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before removing to a platter.
- Slice and serve with the sliced red onions and dill pickle chips.
THE BEST BACON CHEESEBURGER
While we love a grilled burger, this one is our go-to for all seasons. Instead of making a typical patty, we smash the meat in a super-hot cast-iron pan to get crispy, ruffled edges. Once you smash your burgers this way, you'll never go back! We top them with all the fixings, including our perfectly balanced special sauce. It's what we consider an iconic burger.

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
- Combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, relish and vinegar in a small bowl; set aside.
- Working in batches if necessary, add the bacon to a large cast-iron skillet over medium heat. Cook, flipping halfway through, until crisp and golden, about 10 minutes. Transfer the bacon to a nonstick baking sheet. Discard the bacon fat (or save for another use) and wipe the skillet clean but do not wash. Heat over medium-high heat until very hot, about 5 minutes.
- Add the buns split-side up to the baking sheet with the bacon and bake until the buns are toasted, about 5 minutes.
- Loosely form the beef into 4 balls. Add one ball of beef to the skillet and press firmly to flatten with a large flat metal spatula for 10 seconds, then gently remove the spatula. Sprinkle the patty generously with salt; repeat with the remaining beef balls, cooking in batches if necessary. Let cook, undisturbed, until well browned on the bottoms, 2 to 3 minutes. Flip the patties, sprinkle with more salt and top each with a slice of Cheddar. Continue cooking until the cheese is melted around the edges and the bottoms are browned, about 2 more minutes.
- Spread the mayonnaise mixture on the bun tops. Serve the patties on the bottom buns topped with the bacon, onion, tomato and lettuce.
CHEESEBURGER MEAT LOAF
I created this meat loaf one day when I wanted to make cheeseburgers-my husband's favorite-but it was too chilly to grill outside. I've served it numerous times since then, and it never fails to get rave reviews. Even your most finicky eater will enjoy this oven-baked main dish. And you'll appreciate the price-just 51¢ a serving. -Paula Sullivan Barker, New York

BACON-CHEESEBURGER MEATLOAF
Bacon-wrapped meatloaf is a wonderful thing and it's only more wonderful when the beefy meatloaf is amped up with cheddar cheese. Try slices on buns with iceberg lettuce and Russian Dressing.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Tear bread into pieces; pulse in a food processor to make fine crumbs (or use plain breadcrumbs) set aside.P
- Cook the Onions: Pulse onion in food processor until finely chopped (or do so by hand). Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Add onion and 1 teaspoon kosher salt to skillet; cook, stirring occasionally, until onion is softened, about 8 minutes. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, broth, and 1/4 cup ketchup. Remove from heat; let cool completely.
- Prep the Meat and Glaze: In a small bowl, stir together 1/2 cup ketchup and brown sugar for glaze; set aside. In a large bowl, combine onions with ground chuck, 1 egg, 1/2 cup reserved breadcrumbs, 2 teaspoons salt, and 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper. Mix with your hands until well combined. Gently fold in cheddar.
- Bake and Let Cool: On a rimmed baking sheet, form meat mixture into a loaf that's 10 inches long, 4 inches wide, and 2 inches high, packing firmly to prevent cracking. Coat top and sides with 1/2 of glaze, then top with bacon, overlapping slices slightly. Brush remaining glaze over bacon. Bake until top is caramelized and a thermometer inserted into thickest part registers 165 degrees, 55 to 65 minutes. (If top is browning too quickly, tent with foil.) Let cool at least 25 minutes.
CHEESEBURGER MEATLOAF WITH FAMOUS BURGER SAUCE RECIPE - (4.6/5)

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350°F degrees. In a large bowl, combine bread cubes, milk, and egg, using a fork to break up the bread cubes. Add onions, salt, and pepper, and mix well. Add ground beef, incorporating the egg mixture and onion with a fork or hands. On a parchment-lined baking sheet, place half the beef mixture on the sheet and shape into a 4.5-inch by 9.5 inch rectangle. Top the beef with 10 pickles and 3 cheese slices. Add the remaining beef mixture on top of the pickles and cheese, smoothing with a fork or hands and sealing the sides to prevent the cheese from melting out. Bake in a preheated oven for 1 hour and 10 minutes (or until inserted meat thermometer reads 165F degrees). Once the meatloaf reaches the desired internal temperature, add the remaining pickles slices and American cheese to the top of the loaf and bake an additional 3-4 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Top the meatloaf with half the burger sauce (see instructions below) and serve the remaining sauce on the side. In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, relish, mustard, paprika, vinegar, garlic powder and onion powder. Mix well and store in the fridge until ready to use. The burger sauce can be made and served immediately, but it is best to make it at least 30 minutes before using to allow the flavors to blend together. The meatloaf can be made the night before. Simply wrap the loaf in plastic wrap and store on a plate or platter in the fridge until you are ready to bake it. Serving suggestion: Serve the meatloaf with lettuce salad and crusty bread with sesame seeds.
CHEESEBURGER MEATLOAF
This meatloaf is extremely juicy, and the potential variety of different flavors is as big as your imagination. I've done American cheese with ketchup and mustard on top and served with dill pickle chips. Another one might be Swiss cheese and mushroom topping.
