- Place Mason Jar in larger pan of water with dish towel or canning mat in bottom of pan to prevent jar from bottom of pan. Make sure water level over contents of jar. Bring the temperature up to between 160 degrees and 220 Degrees. I prefer 180 degrees it is the perfect temperature to cook at.
