Full of flavor with a hint of sweetness, this moist and delicious salmon is ready in under 10 minutes! You may want to add salt before serving if you are using an unsalted Cajun seasoning. I like to use a Misto® sprayer with my own oil, but feel free to use regular cooking spray. For best results, use center-cut fillets that are about an inch thick.

2 (6 ounce) skin-on salmon fillets
cooking spray
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
1 teaspoon brown sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat the air fryer to 390 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Rinse and dry salmon fillets with a paper towel. Mist fillets with cooking spray. Combine Cajun seasoning and brown sugar in a small bowl. Sprinkle onto a plate. Press flesh sides of fillets into the seasoning mixture.
  • Spray the basket of the air fryer with cooking spray and place salmon fillets skin-side down. Mist salmon again lightly with cooking spray.
  • Cook for 8 minutes. Remove from air fryer and let rest for 2 minutes before serving.

2 (4-6 ounce) salmon filets
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 teaspoons cajun seasoning
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Combine the Cajun Seasoning with the olive oil and set aside.
  • Pat the salmon dry with a clean paper towel, then brush the salmon all over with the seasoning.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F and spray it with some cooking spray to prevent sticking. Place the salmon into the air fryer basket and cook it at 400 degrees for 8 minutes.
  • Once it is done, remove it from the air fryer and serve it immediately with your favorite sides.

Salmon fillets cook beautifully in an air fryer and make a delicious meal when coated in a herb seasoning and served with greens and grains

1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp mixed herbs
1 tsp garlic granules (optional)
4 salmon fillets (we used 4 x 130g fillets), skin on or removed
½ tbsp olive oil
cooked seasonal greens and grains such as quinoa or brown rice, to serve (optional)

Steps:

  • Combine the salt, pepper, mixed herbs and garlic granules, if using, in a bowl, then scatter onto a plate. Rub each salmon fillet with a little olive oil and roll in the seasoning to coat.
  • Put in the air fryer basket in one layer and cook at 180C for 8-10 mins, until cooked through. If you have larger salmon fillets they will need to be cooked for longer - keep checking after 10 mins and cook in 1-2 min blasts, until ready. Serve with greens and quinoa or rice, if you like.

4 salmon fillets, skinless and boneless
1 lemon, juice of
4 teaspoons cajun seasoning
1 yellow pepper, diced
1 red pepper, diced
1 red onion, diced
1/2 cucumber, diced
3 tomatoes, diced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 tablespoon red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon cilantro
sea salt and black pepper

Steps:

  • Brush the salmon fillets with lemon juice and pan fry for 4-5 minutes, skin side up. Turn, brush again with lemon juice, and sprinkle with the Cajun Seasoning.
  • Fry for a further 4-5 minutes, until the salmon is cooked through.
  • Meanwhile, mix the pepper, onion, cucumber and tomatoes in a bowl. Stir in the olive oil, vinegar and cilantro and season to taste.
  • Serve the salmon and the salsa with your choice of green vegetables.
