BUSY DAY BEEF STEW
Here's a classic old-fashioned beef stew that simmers for hours in the slow cooker. I call it my "lazy" stew because it's so easy to make on busy days. Perfect for hearty appetites, it's guaranteed to keep folks coming back for more!

Steps:
- Place roast in a 5-qt. slow cooker; sprinkle with soup mix, browning sauce if desired, salt and pepper. Pour water over meat. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until meat is tender., Remove roast to a cutting board; let stand for 5 minutes. Add vegetables to slow cooker. Cube beef and return to slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 1-1/2 hours or until vegetables are tender. , Combine cornstarch and cold water until smooth; stir into stew. Cover and cook on high for 30-45 minutes or until thickened.

Add the remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 9-11 hours or until vegetables are tender. Discard bay leaf before serving.

Steps:
- Trim fat from meat; cut meat into 3/4-inch pieces.
- In a 3 1/2 or 4-quart slow cooker, combine meat, carrots, potatoes, and onion.
- Sprinkle with salt and thyme; add bay leaf.
- Pour in undrained tomatoes and the water.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 8-10 hours (6 hours in my slow cooker).
- Discard bay leaf.
- Stir in frozen peas.
- If desired, garnish each serving with parsley.

GRANDMA'S BEEF VEGETABLE SOUP
This is one of my grandmother's recipes. Grandma use to put whatever she had in her kitchen into this soup. A big pot of homemade soup was always the favorite dish in my grandmas house. Back then with 9 kids it was always soups and stews.

Steps:
- Cover one blade roast and suet with water.
- Cook until tender.
- Add a few slices of onion and celery for flavor.
- Remove the meat.
- Add all your vegetables in chunks:.
- Cook vegetables until tender.
- Add one large can of whole tomatoes or diced tomatoes.
- Then add the meat back into the soup.
- Cook 8 -10 minutes longer then serve and enjoy.
- Note: If you want the soup to be thicker, you can use 1 can of Tomato Paste.

- Sauté meat in oil, till brown, add onions and garlic and then sauté till onion is cooked.
- In large pot add all other ingredients except the pasta.
- Bring to a boil, add your meat and onions.
- Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1 hour.
- Add pasta and cook for 10 minutes or until pasta is cooked.
