BREAD MACHINE GINGERBREAD LOAF
I was looking for something interesting to try in my new bread machine and found this. It smells amazing and makes fantastic french toast!

Steps:
- Put ingredients into bread machine in order listed, except the raisins. Leave those aside.
- Set machine for 2 pound loaf, white bread, light crust.
- Add raisins when the machine tells you to. (It should beep -- if it starts talking to you, you've got some real problems.).
- Note: I used dried fruits not just raisins and found they added a little too much moisture because I soaked them. During the second rise I added a little more flour until the dough no longer stuck to the side of the pan.

This recipe comes from Fleischmann's yeast company. It is delicious with honey butter and would make a great loaf of raisin bread!

Steps:
- Add ingredients to bread machine pan in the order suggested by manufacturer.
- (If dough is too dry or stiff or too soft or slack, adjust dough consistency) Checking Dough Consistency: Check dough after 5 minutes of mixing; it should form a soft, smooth ball around the blade.
- If dough is too stiff or dry, add additional liquid, 1 teaspoon at a time, until dough is of the right consistency.
- If dough is too soft or sticky, add additional bread flour, 1 teaspoon at a time.
- Recommended cycle: Basic/white bread cycle; light or medium/normal color setting.

Steps:
- Follow instructions for your bread machine.
- My machine instructs to measure ingredients in the order listed into the baking pan. (I combine the milk and egg and microwave on high for about 30 seconds before adding to the pan.).
- Insert baking pan into machine and secure pan.
- Select rapid bake setting for a 2 pound loaf.
- When cycle ends, I put the loaf into a large zup lock bag, seal the bag, and place on wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

- Make 1 ½ Pound Recipe with bread machines that use 3 cups flour, or make 2 Pound Recipe with bread machines that use 4 cups flour.Measure carefully, placing all ingredients in bread machine pan in the order recommended by the manufacturer.Select Basic/White cycle. Use Medium or Light crust color. Remove baked bread from pan, and cool on wire rack.Heat oven to 350. Carefully peel away paper like skin from around garlic bulbs, leaving just enough to hold bulb intact. Trim tops of garlic bulbs about ½-inch to expose cloves. Place bulbs, stem ends down, on 12-inch square of aluminum foil. Drizzle each bulb with 2 teaspoons olive or vegetable oil. Wrap securely in foil place in pie plate or shallow baking pan. Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until garlic is tender when pierced with toothpick or fork. Cool slightly. - Instructions for my machine are: Add all ingredients to the baking pan in the order listed. (I mix the water and powdered milk and microwave them on high for 30 seconds before puting in the pan).
- Insert the baking pan into the oven chamber and secure pan.
- Select rapid bake setting and 2-pound loaf.
- Turn on machine.
- When cycle is complete, I put the loaf into a large zip lock bag, seal the bag, and put it on a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
