Bourbon Cider Sipper Food

BOURBON CIDER TWIST

Steps:

• Add the apple cider, bourbon, and the lime juice to a pitcher and stir. Pour over ice. Serve with a lime wedge.

HONEY BOURBON CIDER COCKTAIL

Steps:

• Combine the ginger, mint and honey in a cocktail shaker. Muddle the mixture until the ginger and mint leaves break down and become fragrant. Add the lemon juice and bourbon along with some ice and shake to combine.
• Add ice to 2 rocks glasses. Divide the bourbon mixture between the glasses, then top off each glass with sparkling apple cider. Garnish with the apple wedges.

BOURBON AND SMOKED CIDER

Steps:

• For the apple cider syrup: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar and water. Bring to a simmer and stir to dissolve the sugar. Turn off heat and set syrup aside.
• Heat a grill to high heat. Core and cut the apples into 1/2-inch-thick slices on the equator (leave skin on). Grill apples 4 for 5 minutes on each side. Place apples in a high-speed blender with the syrup. Blend until smooth. Strain and set aside. (Apple cider syrup will last in the refrigerator for up to 14 days).
• For the cocktail: Fill a large pitcher with ice. Add the bourbon, lemon juice and 9 ounces of the apple cider syrup. Stir and pour into tall Collins glasses filled with ice. Garnish each drink with a sage leaf.

BOURBON CIDER SOUR

Steps:

• Combine the bourbon, apple cider, orange juice, and simple syrup. Stir.
• Serve with an apple slice.

MAPLE-BOURBON CIDER

Steps:

• Fill four glasses and a cocktail shaker with ice. To shaker, add bourbon, lemon juice, maple syrup, and apple cider; shake vigorously. Strain into glasses and top each with a pinch of cayenne pepper, if desired.
