BLOODY MARY
Steps:
- Remove the stems from the tomatoes. Put the tomatoes, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and salt into a blender, cover and blend on high speed for 1 1/2 minutes.
- Fill an ice cube tray with about 2 cups of the juice and freeze overnight. Pour the remaining juice into a lidded container and reserve, on the counter, overnight.
- Just before serving, put 3 frozen cubes into each of 4 Collins glasses and add 1 1/2 ounces of vodka to each glass. Stir the reserved juice, pour 4 ounces into each glass and serve immediately.
- Cut each of the tomatoes into 8 pieces and put them into a large glass jar. Add the vodka, stir to combine, and cover. Put in a cool, dark place for at least 5 days and up to 7 days, stirring every day. After 7 days, strain through a fine mesh strainer and discard the solids.
- To store, pour the tomato vodka back into its original bottle, and keep in a cool, dark place.

This is similar to Emerils, but a touch different. It will be the last bloody mary recipe you will ever want - I've tried several until I tweaked this one just right! Nothing like fresh.

BLOODY MARY
Horseradish makes this the best Bloody Mary recipe we've tasted. Without the horseradish, you'll have a more traditional Bloody Mary, and without the alcohol, you'll have a Virgin Mary. Serve with a stalk of celery, dill pickle spear or olives. -Taste of Home Test Kitchen

BLOODY MARY ALA INA GARTEN
I love a Bloody Mary with texture. I have always wanted to make my own mix and this looks outstanding. Make it as mild or spicy as you like by adding more or less horseradish or Tabasco. These will be even tastier if you make this cocktail several hours before serving or the day/night before. Great for brunch! UPDATE: 8/3/08- Keep the Tobasco & Worcestershire handy! This is refreshing but IMO needs more Tabasco & Worcestershire, consider yourself warned. LOL!

BLOODY MARY PIQUANT
If you like your Bloody Mary spicy and decadent then you will love this recipe! I like my Bloody Mary to be thick with small bits so I tried this recipe without straining it and just loved it (I used a food processor)! It was also very good strained for those that do not like them thick. The Kahlua adds a nice richness and a slight sweetness that tones down the peppers. This IS a Spicy Bloody Mary and it IS wonderful! For a Bloody Mary that is not as spicy you can use regular V8 instead of the spicy blend. This recipe was created for RSC #10.
