1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chocolate chips
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
13 full size snickers bars, chopped up

Steps:

  • Coat a 9 inch glass pie dish with cooking spray.
  • Melt butter and brown sugar in a large saucepan over medium heat until mixture starts to bubble. Remove from heat and let cool for about 10 minutes.
  • Stir in 1 egg and vanilla until blended.
  • Stir in flour, salt, and baking powder until smooth.
  • Scrape about 3/4 cup of batter into a mound in the middle of the pie plate. Place in freezer for about 10 minutes, or until firm.
  • Meanwhile, melt 1/2 cup of the chocolate chips in microwave or double boiler.
  • Stir the melted chips, the cocoa, and the remaining egg into unused batter.
  • Remove the pie plate from the freezer and press the dough over the bottom and halfway up the sides of the pie plate.
  • Sprinkle chopped Snicker's over dough, then top with chocolate mixture.
  • Bake at 350 for 24-27 minutes, or until tests done.
  • Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips over middle of brownie layer, then spread them out to meet the blondie layer as they melt.
  • Top with chopped nuts or more Snicker's pieces and cool before cutting into wedges.

½ cup shortening
1 tablespoon milk
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
⅛ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour one 8x8 inch pan.
  • Combine shortening and milk in large saucepan. Place over low heat until shortening melts. Remove from heat, add the brown sugar and egg. Stir until well blended.
  • Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; stir into sugar mixture. Stir in vanilla and nuts. Spread evenly into prepared pan.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean. Cool and cut into 2x2 inch squares.

2 large eggs, room temperature
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup all-purpose flour

Steps:

1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
⅛ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup chopped walnuts
⅓ cup butter, melted
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
⅔ cup semisweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Grease a 9x9-inch baking pan.
  • Measure 1 cup sifted flour. Add baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Sift again. Add 1/2 cup chopped nuts. Mix well and set aside.
  • Stir the brown sugar into the melted butter and mix well. Cool slightly.
  • Mix the beaten egg and vanilla into the brown sugar mixture. Add flour mixture, a little at a time, mixing just until combined.
  • Spread the batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle 1/2 to 1 cup chocolate chips on top. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 20 to 25 minutes.

2 large eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup baking cocoa
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Vanilla ice cream, optional
Chocolate syrup, optional

Steps:

  • In a bowl, beat eggs. Add sugar, butter and vanilla. Combine the flour, cocoa and salt; add to bowl and beat until well blended. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Spread into a greased 9-in. pie plate. Bake at 350° (325° if using a glass pie plate) for 30-35 minutes or until set. Cool completely before cutting. If desired, top individual slices with ice cream and drizzle with chocolate syrup.

1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 pinch baking soda
1 pinch salt
1/4 cup of your favourite nuts, I like pecans
1/4 cup melted margarine
1 cup packed brown sugar, divided
2 egg whites
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup vanilla baking chips
1/4 cup unsalted margarine
1/4 cup maple syrup
6 -8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 teaspoon maple extract
vanilla ice cream

Steps:

  • Sift together sifted flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; stir in nuts; set aside.
  • With an electric mixer, beat together melted butter and 1 cup brown sugar.
  • Beat in egg and vanilla.
  • Slowly beat dry mixture into wet mixture.
  • Stir in vanilla baking chips by hand.
  • Spread batter into a greased 9" X 9" X 2" baking pan.
  • Bake in a 350 degree oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean; set aside to cool.
  • For topping: In a saucepan over low heat, melt remaining 1/4 cup butter and maple syrup.
  • Stir remaining 1/3 cup brown sugar into saucepan until it has dissolved.
  • Remove saucepan from heat and beat in cream cheese and maple extract until smooth.
  • Return saucepan to low heat and simmer, stirring constantly, until desired consistency.
  • To serve: place 1 brownie on a plate. Top with 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream. Drizzle topping over. Delicious!

Steps:

  • Coat a 9-inch glass pie plate with nonstick spray. Melt butter and brown sugar in a large saucepan over med. heat until mixture starts to bubble. Remove from heat; cool 10 minutes. Stir in 1 egg and the vanilla until well blended; then stir in flour and baking powder until smooth. Scrape; (don't spread) 3/4 cup into prepared pie plate; freeze 10 minutes or until firm.
  • Meanwhile, heat oven to 350 and melt 1/2 cup chocolate chips as pkg. directs. Stir melted chips, remaining egg and cocoa powder into remaining batter.
  • Press chilled batter evenly over bottom and halfway up sides of pie plate. Top with Snickers, then chocolate batter.
  • Bake 24-27 minutes until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out with moist crumbs attached. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup chocolate chips in middle, let stand 5 minutes until soft, and then spread to blondie crust in decorative swirls. Top with garnishes. Cool before cutting in wedges.
