Mix up an elegant gin sling cocktail in a flash with our simple recipe. Garnish with rosemary and lemon and try topping up with pine soda for a fresh twist

Ingredients

50ml gin
20ml lemon juice
15ml sugar syrup
2 dashes Angostura bitters
ice
tonic water and soda water, or pine soda, to taste
rosemary sprig and lemon wedge, to garnish

Steps:

Put the gin, lemon juice, sugar syrup and bitters into a cocktail shaker and add a large handful of ice. Shake to combine and strain into a tall glass filled with more ice.
Top up with equal parts tonic and soda water, or pine soda. Garnish with a rosemary sprig and lemon wedge.

ice
1 ½ (1.5 fluid ounce) jiggers gin
¾ ounce sweet vermouth
½ ounce lemon juice
½ ounce simple syrup
2 dashes bitters (such as Angostura®)
2 ounces club soda, or as needed
1 (2 inch) piece lemon peel for garnish

Steps:

Put ice in a cocktail shaker. Pour in gin, vermouth, lemon juice, simple syrup, bitters. Shake well. Add ice to a highball glass. Strain cocktail into highball glass, top off with club soda, and garnish with lemon peel.
