Betty Crocker Spice Cake Mix Food

INCREDIBLY MOIST PUMPKIN-SPICE CAKE WITH CREAM CHEESE FROSTING

Steps:

• Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pans). Spray bottoms only of three 9-inch round cake pans with baking spray with flour.
• In large bowl, beat cake ingredients with electric mixer on low speed until moistened, then on high speed 2 minutes. Divide batter equally among pans. Bake 24 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans to cooling racks. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.
• Meanwhile, in large bowl, beat cream cheese and butter with electric mixer on low speed until smooth. Gradually beat in powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time, until smooth. Refrigerate about 30 minutes or until frosting reaches desired spreading consistency.
• Place 1 cake layer, rounded side down, on serving plate; spread about 3/4 cup frosting over top to within about 1/4 inch of edge. Top with second cake layer, rounded side up; spread with 3/4 cup frosting. Top with third layer, rounded side up. Spread thin layer of frosting on side of cake. Spread remaining frosting on side and top of cake. Store covered in refrigerator.

CAKE MIX APPLE-SPICE COOKIES

Steps:

• Heat oven to 350°F. In medium bowl, stir together cake mix, oil and eggs until combined and dough forms. Stir in chopped apple.
• Onto ungreased cookie sheets, drop dough by tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart.
• Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until set. Remove cookies from cookie sheets to cooling racks. Cool completely, about 15 minutes.
• In small microwavable bowl, microwave frosting on High 10 seconds. Drizzle melted frosting over cooled cookies.

EASY APPLE SPICE CAKE

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350f degrees.
• Mix cake as per box directions and bake in two 8" or 9" rounds.
• Let cool.
• Place 1 layer, round side down, on plate. Spread with pie filling. Top with second cake layer; round side up.
• Frost side and top of cake with frosting. Store loosely covered at room temperature.
• *I've made this and it kept well for 3 days.
• I also made with Cream Cheese Frosting (our personal taste).

PINEAPPLE SPICE CAKE

Steps:

• Note:*** Do NOT add the water and oil stated on the box of cake mix.
• The Pineapple and juice replace these two ingredients and make it lower in fat and more moist.
• In bowl, add dry cake mix, pineapple with juice, eggs and orange extract.
• Beat just until mixed.
• Pour into a 9x13-inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
• Cool.
• Note: I wrapped outer edge of cake with Magi-cake strips which prevents the outside edges from becoming browned before the cake is done; however, this is optional.
• Mix orange extract and powdered sugar to make a glaze.
• Drizzle over the cooled cake.
• Note:*** I have made this in 6 mini-angelfood cake pans and baked for 23 minutes.
• They were the first cakes sold at the bake sale.

Steps:

• Combine the cake mix and soda in a bowl. Pour into prepared cake pans. You can use whichever cake pan you'd like. Bake as directed on the cake mix box. Try all of these fun flavor combinations. Creamsicle Cake: White cake mix and Sunkist soda Strawberry Shortcake: Strawberry cake mix and A&W root beer Very Cherry Chip Cake: Cherry cake mix and Dr. Pepper Cherry Zesty Lemon Cake: Lemon cake mix and Sprite Purple Cow Cake: White cake mix and Grape Crush Ginger Spice Cake: Spice cake mix and Schweppes ginger ale Sinless Devil's Food Cake: Devil's Food cake mix and Diet Coke Chocolate Root Beer Float: Chocolate cake mix and Barq's root beer

SOUR CREAM SPICE CAKE

Steps:

• Heat oven to 350°F. Grease bottom and sides of 13x9-inch pan with shortening; lightly flour.
• In large bowl, beat all ingredients except frosting with electric mixer on low speed 30 seconds, scraping bowl constantly. Beat on high speed 3 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. Pour into pan.
• Bake 40 to 45 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely, about 1 hour.
• Frost cake with frosting.
