A few household items that amazling cleans silver. I had a badly tarnished dish that these few items cleaned right up.

Steps:
- Combine the above ingredients in a clean kitchen sink.
- Put your tarnished silver and silver plated items into the sink and let sit for a few minutes.
- Watch as the tarnish disappears from the silverware and reappears on the foil.
- Rinse extremely well with water to prevent pitting of silverplate.
- Magic!

I have some rather large pieces of silver....some of them dating back to l884 that have been passed down through the family! This was enough to clean 2 large trays, 2 mugs, a 4 peice tea set and a pitcher.

Steps:
- Place the aluminum foil on the bottom of the sink and add baking soda and salt.
- Add your silver and fill the sink with hot water until all pieces are submerged. Let the pieces soak for 30 minutes. Note: My trays are bigger than my sink, so I turned the tray half way through.
- Remove the silver from the water and buff with a soft cloth.

- Soak. This process can range from a quick 60-second dip to a full 30-minute affair, depending on the degree of tarnish your silver is suffering from. Once the silver has been given an adequate soak, remove it from the cleaning solution and bask in the satisfaction of a job well done.
