1 part gin
1 part Campari
1 part sweet vermouth
Orange twist, for garnish

Steps:

  • Stir the gin, Campari and vermouth in a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain into an ice-filled rocks glass; garnish with an orange twist.

RYE NEGRONI



Rye Negroni image

Yield 1 drink

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 1/2 ounces rye whiskey
3/4 ounce Campari
3/4 ounce red sweet vermouth, such as Cocchi Vermouth di Torino
1/2 ounce Italian aperitif wine, such as Cocchi Aperitivo Americano
4 dashes bitters
4 dashes orange bitters
7 drops habanero shrub bitters
Slice of orange peel
Ice

Steps:

  • Pour the rye, Campari, vermouth, aperitif, and bitters into a glass filled with ice cubes and mix well. Strain the mixture into a glass containing an extra-large ice cube. Remove as much pith as possible from the orange peel and trim the edges to form a rectangular shape. With a lit match, warm the outer side of the orange peel by rocking it back and forth over the flame, and then squeeze the peel until the flame and peel make sparks. Rub the rim of the glass with the peel and drop it into the glass.

25ml sweet vermouth
25ml Campari
ice
slice of orange

Steps:

  • Pour the gin, vermouth and Campari into a mixing glass or jug with ice. Stir well until the outside of the glass feels cold.
  • Strain into a tumbler and add 1 large ice sphere or some fresh ice, and garnish with an orange slice, using a blood orange when in season.
