- Strain blackberry mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl. Stir yogurt and sugar into the blackberry mixture with a whisk until smooth.

Steps:
- Add the everything except the oil to a small saucepan and place it over low heat. Stirring a bit, cook just to dissolve the sugar and warm the mixture, about 3 minutes.
- Remove the pan from the heat and use the back of a fork to macerate the blackberries. (I like keeping them partially intact.)
- Gradually whisk in the oil and blend until it's completely emulsified.

- Add blackberries to a small sauce pan with water. Simmer over medium heat.
- Bring to a boil and mash blackberries with the back of a fork to help break the berries down.
- After berries have reduced to mostly liquid remove from heat. Strain through a fine mesh sieve reserving just the blackberry juice. This will remove seeds.
- Add remaining ingredients along with the blackberry juice to a mason jar.
- Screw lid from mason jar tightly and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds. Drizzle over your favorite salad, cheese or chicken.

- For the Ricotta: Place almonds in a bowl and cover with boiling water. Soak for 30 minutes, and drain. Peel the almonds by squeezing them out of their skins. If you hold the rounder end and pinch, it should shoot out of the other end.
