We have a banana tree in the back yard. This was my all time favorite snack to make when I was younger. My mom use to make this for me & my brother James. I had to make it almost every day. When am having a bad week or missing my mom, I make this & the day isnt so bad.

- 1. Frist mash bananas until a smooth paste is formed.
- 2. Next add in the lemon juice & mix.
- 3. Then gradually add the coconut cream & stir constantly.
- 4. Then chill & serve in glasses or small bowls.

My Nanna Towgood has been making this loaf bread for over 40 years, and its a family favorite--moist, flavorful, and just the right amount of sweetness. You may substitute chocolate chips for the walnuts if you desire.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
- In a blender, combine milk, eggs, oil, sugar, banana pieces, and vanilla extract. Process until smooth. In a large bowl, sift together all the flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add banana mixture to dry ingredients. Mix well. Stir in nuts. Pour batter into prepared pan.
- Bake in preheated oven for 55 to 60 minutes until golden brown, an a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean.

NANA'S BANANA BREAD
Okay I know that I am prejudiced but this is my mother's recipe for banana bread and I think it is the best banana bread in the world. It uses instant milk powder, something I have never seen in any other banana bread recipes. I am adding this to the large group of recipes on Zaar to keep this safe and in the family.

Steps:
- Mix shortening, sugar and egg together.
- Blend 1/3 cup water, vinegar and mashed banana and add to mixture.
- Mix in 1/2 cup nuts if desired.
- Sift together salt, milk, baking soda, baking powder and flour.
- Add to wet mixture.
- Bake at 350F for 1 hour.
- Always made with extra love at Nana's house.
