I made this recipe for my families Sunday big breakfast. My family really liked this drink. We thought it was more like a smoothie. When I made ours I used skim milk. I'd recommend drinking this right up after making it as the water and milk tend to separate. I got the recipe from Parish Pickens From Lakeshore United Methodist cookbook. The recipe was submitted by Trudy Moon.

Ingredients

1 medium banana, cut into chunks
1/2 cup milk
1 tablespoon honey
1/8 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup crushed ice

Steps:

Combine banana, milk, honey, vanilla and ice in container of blender.
Whirl until smooth.

Ingredients

1 ounce light rum
1 1/2 ounces cream
1 dash grenadine
1 ounce creme de banane
1 pinch nutmeg
1 slice banana

Steps:

Shake rum, cream, grenadine, and creme de bananes, with crushed ice and strain into a cocktail glass.
Decorate with the banana slice, sprinkle nutmeg on top, and serve.
