APPLETINI BARS
All the goodness of an apple martini baked into a cookie bar-including vodka and slices of fresh green apple. Serve at your next cocktail party.

Steps:
- Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish with cooking spray. In food processor, place flour, powdered sugar, salt and butter. Cover; process, using quick on-and-off motions, until dough is crumbly. Press in baking dish.
- In medium bowl, toss apple slices with granulated sugar until coated. Arrange apple slices in single layer, not overlapping, on crust. Bake 18 to 20 minutes or until edges of crust are lightly browned. Cool on cooling rack.
- Meanwhile, pour 1 cup of the sour apple drink mix into large heatproof bowl; sprinkle gelatin over drink mix. Let stand 1 minute. Heat remaining 1 cup sour apple drink mix to boiling. Pour over gelatin mixture and stir until gelatin is completely dissolved, about 5 minutes. Add vodka; stir until well blended.
- Pour mixture over apple layer. Refrigerate 2 to 3 hours or until firm. Cut into 8 rows by 3 rows.

APPLETINI
Steps:
- Prep the apples: Core and roughly chop the washed apples.
- Make the tart apple syrup: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the apples, water, and sugar. Bring the apple mixture to a boil, and then reduce heat to low. Simmer until the apples are tender but not falling apart, 15 to 20 minutes.
- Cool the tart apple syrup: Remove from the heat and let cool to room temperature, about 30 minutes.
- Strain the tart apple syrup: Strain solids through a fine mesh strainer into an airtight container. Either use immediately in your cocktail or refrigerate until ready to use.

APPLETINI
Unlike most recipies for appletinis, this one has sweet and sour mix. The sweet-and-sour masks the alcohol taste. Remember: the better quality of vodka, the better your tini!

Steps:
- Fill a martini glass with ice and top with water. This will get the glass chilled before pouring your tini.
- Add ice to your shaker. The more you add, the better chilled the tini will be.
- Add the vodka, schnapps and sweet-and-sour. Cover and shake vigorously for about ten seconds.
- Dump the ice and water from the martini glass. Strain the contents of the shaker into the glass.
- Garnish with a cherry, or sliver of granny apple, or lemon twist.
