APPLE PIE BREAD
Move over apple pie! This bread--with its moist apple flavor and pecan streusel topping--may become the Christmas recipe everyone craves.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease the bottom and 1/2 inch up the sides of an 9x5x3-inch loaf pan; set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat butter with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds. Beat in sugar until combined. Add buttermilk and baking powder; beat until combined. Add eggs and vanilla; beat until combined. Add flour and salt; beat until combined. Stir in apple, nuts, and raisins.
- Spoon batter into prepared pan; spread evenly. Sprinkle Streusel-Nut Topping over batter. Bake for 60 to 65 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
- Cool in pan on a wire rack for 10 minutes. Remove from pan. Cool completely on wire rack. Wrap and store overnight before slicing. Makes 1 loaf (14 servings). Streusel-Nut Topping
- In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and flour. Using a pastry blender, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in walnuts or pecans.

Best of two worlds, apple pie and bread all in one. Be sure and soak your raisins in a bowl of warm water to plump them up. By doing this the raisins won't have to try to soak up the liquid in the bread and your bread will be much moister.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Spray a 9 x 5 loaf pan with cooking spray. In a medium bowl, use a fork to break up apples in the filling; set aside.
- With mixer in large bowl cream together butter and sugars. Stir in eggs, apples, and vanilla until well blended.
- Sift together flour, baking soda, apple pie spice, cinnamon, and salt.
- Stir into apple mixture, then stir in raisins and walnuts.
- Pour into prepared pan.
- Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let bread cool in pan for 15 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x5 loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl, use a potato masher to break up apples in the filling; set aside. In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter, white sugar, and brown sugar. Stir in eggs, apples, and vanilla extract until well blended. Sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Stir into apple mixture, then stir in raisins and walnuts. Pour batter into prepared pan.
- Bake in preheated oven for 60 minute, until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean. Let bread cool in pan for 15 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and cloves. In a separate bowl, mix together milk, egg and oil until well blended. Stir milk mixture into flour mixture. Fold in apple. Pour into prepared pan.

Ingredients 1/2 cup butter, softened 1 cup sugar 1/4 cup 1% milk 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 cups shredded apples (I used 5 Macintosh) 2 cups all purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon cinnamon Streusel Topping 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed 3 tablespoons flour 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped 2 tablespoons cold butter Directions 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 9 x 5 bread pan with nonstick spray; set aside. 2. In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together. Add the milk, eggs, vanilla, and apples and mix on low speed until smooth. 3. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Add the dry ingredients to the apple mixture on low speed until combined. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly. 4. In a small mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon on low speed. With the mixer on low speed, add little pieces of the butter and mix until blended. Add the walnuts and stir well. Sprinkle the streusel over the bread batter evenly. 5. Bake for 60 - 70 minutes (until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean). Let stand for 10 minutes. Then remove the bread from the pan and cool on a wire rack. Make-Ahead Tip This would be a great treat to keep in the freezer. All you need to do is thaw it out overnight and then you'll have an instant dessert with no mess or fuss. Freezing Directions When the bread is completely cooled, wrap in plastic wrap and place it in a labeled freezer bag. Remove as much air as possible. I recommend using a vacuum sealed bag. Freeze up to 2 months.
AWESOME APPLE BREAD
This bread is so moist and flavorful that my kids even eat the ends, which for most quick breads I usually have to throw away. At Christmas, I make the mini loaves and give as gifts to my neighbors. The oil can be replaced with 1 cup of unsweetened applesauce. Still flavorful but not quite as moist. If possible, don't skip the walnuts, they really add to it.

- Combine and set aside the oil, eggs, sugar, and vanilla.
- Sift flour, cinnamon, soda, and salt. Add dry ingredients to oil mixture gradually.
- Add apples and nuts.
- Bake in 2 regular loaf pans or 3 foil loaf pans for 1 1/2 hours at 300 degrees.
- Cool 10 minutes in the pan.
- Sprinkle with sugar, if desired.
- Note: I bake it at 325 degrees for about 70 minutes.

I saw this on Facebook and just had to make it. I did several of them made from several of the different flavors of pie fillings out there. They all turned out fabulous. Next time I will make one of Mince Pie filling.

- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9×5″ loaf pan. I don't know why you couldn't use Apple Pie Spice. I just didn't have any on hand to try it with. :) Mix the flour, baking powder, nutmeg and cinnamon. Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture. Mix well. Add the lemon juice and lemon zest. Add the pie filling and fold mixture until well blended, but don't over mix.
- 2. Open the can of apple pie filling and spoon entire contents into a small bowl. Cut apple wedges into small chunks, set aside. Cream the room temp. butter and sugars. Add the slightly beaten eggs. Mix well.
- 3. Mix the flour, baking powder, nutmeg and cinnamon. Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture. Mix well. Add the lemon juice and lemon zest. Add the pie filling and fold mixture until well blended, but don't over mix. Pour mixture greased and floured loaf pan. Bake 350 degrees 50 to 60 minutes. Until top of loaf is set and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean (it may not come out totally clean because of the denseness of the bread). It will start sinking into it's sunken form as it cools.
- 4. Remove from pan and dust with powdered sugar. I made two of the apple pie ones. One I just dusted with powdered sugar and the other I made of drizzle of powdered sugar and maple syrup.
