Provided by Hungry Jack

Categories     Trusted Brands: Recipes and Tips

Time 30m

Yield 9

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 ¼ cups diced apples
2 tablespoons Hungry Jack® Original Syrup
2 ¼ cups Hungry Jack® Pancake and Waffle Mix, divided
½ cup milk
2 tablespoons Hungry Jack® Original Syrup, divided
¼ cup brown sugar
¼ cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon

2 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 teaspoon pancake syrup
¾ cup confectioners' sugar

Steps:

  • Spread the cooled apples on top of the dough.
  • Mix together the brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and 1 tablespoon butter. Sprinkle over the apples. Gently roll the dough up starting from the shorter side. If your dough sticks to the counter, slide a butter knife gently under the roll and push some pancake mix underneath the roll.
  • Slice the log into 9 even rolls. Place the rolls in the prepared pan. Mix together the remaining tablespoon of melted butter and syrup. Drizzle over the rolls in the pan. Bake for 20 to 22 minutes. Remove and cool for a few minutes.
  • Mix together the frosting ingredients and spread over the warm rolls. Drizzle with extra syrup, if desired.

CINNAMON APPLE SYRUP FROM PEEL

Cinnamon Apple Syrup from Peel image

This is a yummy way to use up apple peels. I like to cook apples during the fall to freeze for a winter side dish. I always hated throwing away the peelings. I modified a recipe that I found online until I got a consistancy and flavor that I am happy with. I enjoy using tart apples like Cortland or Winesap. My whole family loves this syrup. It is especially tasty when poured over Cinnamon Pecan Pancakes :) I love to have this simmering on the stove, it makes the house smell wonderful!
