Steps:
- 1. Spread cubed bread in a single layer on 2 sheet pans and bake in a 325 degree oven for about 15 minutes. Cool slightly then transfer bread into a greased 9 by 13 inch baking pan.
- 2. In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, brown sugar and cinnamon. Add eggs, milk, and vanilla.
- 3. Sprinkle the raisins, dried apples, chopped apple and the sausage over the bread. Now pour the egg mixture over the bread. With a spoon, gently push the bread down until it is soaked.
- 4. You can bake it now or cover with foil and refrigerate overnight to bake in the morning.
- 5. If you are baking it in the morning leave the casserole at room temperature while the oven preheats. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees F, for 35 - 45 minutes just until the center is set.
- 6. While the french toast is baking, prepare the cinnamon syrup. Combine the brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a small saucepan. Combine the water and corn starch in a measuring cup then pour into the pan.
- 7. Cook over medium heat and bring to a rolling boil, stirring often. Remove from heat and add the vanilla extract and butter. It will be the consistency of syrup.
- 8. When the french toast is out of the oven drizzle some syrup over it and serve the rest on the side. By now everyone has smelled it cooking and they will be ready to eat! Serve hot.

Steps:
- Grease a large rectangular baking pan (I use a lasagna casserole dish that's slightly larger than 9-inch by 13-inch) with butter.
- Arrange the slices of French bread in the baking dish so the tops are facing up.
- In a large bowl whisk together the eggs, milk, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg, and pour the egg mixture carefully over the bread in the casserole dish, making sure to moisten each piece completely.
- Add the chopped apples to the top, along with the pecans, pushing them down slightly into the cracks between the pieces of bread.
- Combine the white sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and sprinkle it over the casserole.
- Bake immediately at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 40 minutes, or cover with plastic wrap and place in the fridge to chill overnight.
- If you choose the overnight method, simply remove the plastic wrap and add the dish to a cold oven. Preheat the oven as normal and when it reaches 350 degrees, set your timer for 40 minutes and bake as normal. The casserole dish will preheat slowly with the oven and this will prevent the dish from cracking. Never place a cold casserole dish in a hot oven!!
- Remove the casserole from the oven and let cool for about 10 minutes before serving. Dust with powdered sugar and garnish with whipped cream and maple syrup when serving.

- Dutch Apple Bread. Kicking things off is this moist and flavorful Dutch apple bread. If you’re not familiar with it, it’s a quick bread loaded with apple chunks.
- Apple Cinnamon Muffins. Start your day on a delicious but healthy note with these apple cinnamon muffins. Muffins are usually loaded with berries. But in this recipe, you’ll give the classic muffins a fun fall twist with apples and cinnamon.
- Apple Cinnamon Pancakes. Regular pancakes are great. But apple cinnamon pancakes? These are next-level amazing. The pancakes are soft, fluffy, and spiced with cinnamon.
- Apple Pie Muffins. They’re muffins, but they taste just like apple pie. It’s the perfect excuse for eating dessert for breakfast. Because this recipe calls for canned apple pie filling, you can make it all year round.
- Sausage Apple Breakfast Casserole. Apple recipes are mostly sweet, but this breakfast casserole is a mix of sweet and savory. This casserole is a combination of cubed sourdough bread, sausage crumbles, cheese, and apples.
- Apple Smoothie. Smoothies are often made with berries, but not today. This apple smoothie is smooth, creamy, and bursting with fall flavors. It’s sweetened with apples and bananas, made creamy by almond milk, peanut butter, and oatmeal, and spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice.
- Apple Crisp. If you’re missing your grandma’s baking, this recipe is for you. This apple crisp is exactly the kind of home-cooking goodness your grandma makes!
- Stovetop Apple Cinnamon Stovetop Oatmeal. I’ll be honest, I’m not a fan of plain oatmeal. I know it’s ultra-nutritious, but I can’t stand it on its own.
- Overnight Cinnamon Apple Baked French Toast Casserole. I can never say no to French toast. I mean, who can, right? But what I don’t appreciate is the effort required to make it.
- Apple Brown Betty. Say hello to Apple Brown Betty, the easy way to make apple pie. It’s a pie with an apple filling and a crumble on top. It may not have a crust underneath, but the topping definitely makes up for what’s lacking.
