CHOCOLATE PUDDING CAKE I
This is a very quick and simple no bake dessert cake. I've been making it for years without a written recipe. I have also tried it with different flavors such as Coconut/Pineapple. This recipe lends itself well to experimentation. Note: If desired, chopped nuts may be added to the pudding before spreading over cake, or may be sprinkled over the top of the pudding before adding the whipped topping layer.

Steps:
- Tear angel food cake into bite size pieces into a 9x13 inch cake pan (preferably glass).
- Prepare chocolate pudding as directed on package. Gently spread over the top of cake pieces, spreading to edges of pan.
- Carefully spread whipped topping over chocolate pudding, spreading to edges of pan and taking care not to mix with pudding.
- Using a cheese grater or vegetable peeler, grate chocolate bar over the whipped topping.
- Chill until ready to serve, at least one hour.

ANGELA'S CHOCOLATE PUDDING AND COOKIES

Steps:
- Make the chocolate pudding with the milk following the package instructions. Let the pudding rest for 2 to 3 minutes, then add the table cream and condensed milk, mixing well.
- Into a large, round glass bowl, pour enough of the chocolate mixture to cover the bottom of the container. Add a layer of the Maria cookies, then top with a layer of the pudding; repeat this procedure until the cookies and chocolate mixture are used up. Let the dessert rest in the refrigerator for 2 hours, then slice into portions, spoon out onto plates, and serve.
ANGEL PUDDING
When I first saw this simple recipe I knew it was one I wanted to try. You see, Butterfinger is one of my favorite candy bars... and the more chocolate the better! Toss in some angel food cake and you've got a real winner! This would be a great way to introduce kids to the kitchen.

Steps:
- 1. Place half of cake cubes in the bottom of a 9x13 inch dish. Prepare chocolate and vanilla puddings with cold milk according to the package directions.
- 2. Spread prepared chocolate pudding over cake cubes in the dish . Top with Half the crushed candy . Distriute remaining cake cubes over candy and top with vanilla pudding and remaining candy. Chill till serving time.
CONTEST-WINNING CHOCOLATE ANGEL FOOD CAKE
When I take this different kind of angel food cake to church bake sales, it goes before I can get it on the table! I've always enjoyed cooking, especially baking. My other hobbies are embroidery, counted cross-stitch and taking care of my flowers and garden (I love to can). My husband and I are retired to our farm home; we have three sons, all grown, and four grandchildren.

- Place egg whites in a large bowl; let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes. Sift the flour, 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar and cocoa three times. Set aside. , Add cream of tartar, vanilla and salt to egg whites; beat on medium speed until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar, about 2 tablespoons at a time, beating on high until stiff glossy peaks form and sugar is dissolved. Gradually fold in flour mixture, about 1/2 cup at a time. Mixture will be thick. , Gently spoon into an ungreased 10-in. tube pan. Cut through the batter with a knife to remove air pockets. Bake on the lowest oven rack at 350° for 40-45 minutes or until lightly browned and entire top appears dry. Immediately invert pan; cool completely, about 1 hour. , Run a knife around side and center tube of pan. Remove cake to a serving plate. , For frosting, In a large bowl, beat cream until it begins to thicken. Add the sugar, cocoa and salt; beat until stiff peaks form. Frost top and sides of cake.,

- In a large mixing bowl cream butter and shortening.
- Gradually add sugars, beating well.
- Add egg and vanilla, beat well.
- Combine dry ingredients.
- Add to creamed mixture,beat well.
- Stir in chips and pecans.
- Shape dough into 1-inch balls and roll in sugar.
- Place 2-inches apart on greased baking sheet.
- Bake 350° for 12 minutes.
- Cool on wire racks.

- In a large saucepan, melt chocolate chips over low heat; stir until smooth. In a small bowl, combine the milk, egg yolks and sugar; gradually add to chocolate, stirring constantly. Cook and stir for 2-3 minutes. Remove from the heat; cool to room temperature. Fold in cream. , Tear cake into bite-size pieces; place half in a greased 13-in. x 9-in. dish. This is a delicious cake and it looks nice, too. You can bake your own or pick up an angel food cake at your local supermarket.

Steps:
- Place cake on a serving platter, slice a 1 inch layer from top of cake and set aside.
- Cut around cake 1 inch from outer edge down to 1 inch from the bottom.
- Then cut around cake 1 inch from inner edge down to 1 inch layer on bottom.
- Create a tunnel in middle of cake by removing the tunneled out cake pieces and set aside.
- In a medium bowl, combine milk and pudding mix.
- Beat on low for 2 minutes.
- Fold cake pieces and 1-3/4 cups of whipped topping into pudding.
- Fill trench with pudding mixture.
- Replace top of cake.
- Spread remaining whipped topping over top and sides of cake.
- (AT this point I dust top of cake with a mixture of cocoa that has been mixed with a little powdered sugar) Refrigerate.
