SMOKED PRIME RIB RECIPE
Smoked prime rib is an amazing meal any time of the year! Tender, juicy, packed with smokey flavor - it's sure to be a total hit!

Steps:
- Remove prime rib roast from refrigerator and let come to room temperature for about 20 minutes. Leave the roast tied together.
- Preheat smoker to 265º F.
- Spread butter over the entire prime rib roast.
- Rub garlic, pepper, salt, and herbs over entire roast, pressing it into the butter.
- Place prime rib roast on the smoker.
- Roast for about 30 minutes per pound until the internal temperature reaches about 135ºF.
- Remove the prime rib roast from the smoker and let it rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing and serving.
- Cut and remove the strings and slice the prime rib, or remove the bottom bones (they will just slide off) if you want to serve thinner slices.

AMAZING SMOKED PRIME RIB
My recipe for Smoked Prime Rib is a show-stopping centerpiece with incredible flavor from a simple rub and just a few hours of smoking!

Steps:
- Preheat your smoker to 285 degrees fahrenheit. Sprinkle your prime rib with the prime rib rub. Be sure to cover every inch of the prime rib with the seasonings.
- Let your prime rib sit outside the fridge and come to room temperature. This will take around 30 minutes.
- Place on the smoker and cook for about 3 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 130 degrees.
- Heat a cast iron skillet to high heat and sear each side of the cooked prime rib for about one minute.
- Allow the prime rib to rest off of the heat for about 10 minutes. Slice against the grain and enjoy!

Steps:
- Sprinkle salt over entire roast and wrap with plastic wrap. Refrigerate, 4 hours to 24 hours.
- Combine olive oil, black pepper, garlic powder, rosemary, thyme, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper together in a bowl. Set aside for flavors to blend, at least 1 hour.
- Pour most of the oil mixture over the roast and massage into the top and sides of meat. Flip the roast and pour remaining oil mixture over roast and massage. Place roast on a plate and refrigerate, 1 hour to 12 hours.
- Preheat smoker to 225 degrees F (110 degrees C) to 230 degrees F (107 degrees C). Add hickory or pecan wood chips to smoker.
- Insert an oven-safe meat thermometer into the thickest part of roast. Place roast into the smoker and roast until internal temperature reaches 145 degrees F (63 degrees C), 3 to 3 1/2 hours.
- Preheat an oven to 500 degrees F (260 degrees C) to 550 degrees F (288 degrees C).
- Bake the roast in the preheated oven until crust is crunchy, produced a reverse sear, 15 to 20 minutes. Allow roast to rest 10 to 15 minutes before slicing.
