One way to make make our chocolate- and almond-covered popcorn more irresistible is to pair it with our Macadamia Butter-Crunch Popcorn.

25 cups popped popcorn (from about 1 cup kernels)
3 cups unsalted whole skin-on almonds, toasted (about 1 pound)
1 cup sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 teaspoons coarse salt

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Put popcorn in a large bowl. Add the nuts; set aside. Put sugar, corn syrup, butter, cocoa, and salt in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring, until mixture comes to a gentle simmer, about 5 minutes.
  • Pour sugar mixture over popcorn and nuts; toss to coat. Transfer to rimmed baking sheets; bake, stirring every 20 minutes, until almost dry, about 1 hour. Let cool on sheets on wire racks.

Steps:

  • Place packaged popcorn in the microwave; cook on high until popping begins to slow down, about 2 1/2 minutes. Pour popcorn into a large bowl. Remove any unpopped kernels.
  • Place almond bark in a saucepan and melt over medium-low heat, stirring constantly so it does not burn on the bottom, about 8 minutes. Pour melted almond bark over popcorn and stir to coat evenly. Pour out onto a baking sheet to cool.

2 cups white sugar
1 cup chopped almonds
2 cups milk chocolate chips
½ cup finely chopped almonds

Steps:

  • In a saucepan over low heat, combine the butter, sugar and 1 cup chopped almonds. Stir constantly until mixture boils, then do not stir or shake. Heat to 300 to 310 degrees F (149 to 154 degrees C), or until a small amount of syrup dropped into cold water forms hard, brittle threads.
  • Pour onto a large buttered cookie sheet. Immediately press chocolate chips onto the hot candy. As the chocolate melts, spread it into a coating over the candy.
  • Sprinkle finely chopped almonds over the top; cool, and break into uneven pieces.

Steps:

  • Butter a large bowl.
  • In a quart saucepan, combine sugars, syrup, water and salt.
  • Cook to 235 degrees on a candy thermometer.
  • Add almonds; cook to 250 degrees stirring occasionally.
  • Continue cooking to 295 degrees, stirring occasionally.
  • Add butter; stir until melted and completely blended into the syrup mixture.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Add half the popcorn.
  • Stir syrup up from the bottom of the pan, coating corn well.

1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup honey

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 300°F; spray large nonstick baking sheet with spray.
  • Combine popcorn and pecans in large bowl; mix lightly.
  • Set aside.
  • Combine brown sugar and honey in small pan.
