I usually make this pretzel candy as a gift, but it's also fun to share at office parties. The recipe makes a big batch and stores well. -Betty Claycomb, Alverton, Pennsylvania

Ingredients

1 pound milk chocolate candy coating, chopped
1 pound white candy coating, chopped
2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
2 cups coarsely chopped pretzel sticks

Steps:

Line a 15x10x1-in. pan with foil. In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt candy coatings and peanut butter; stir until smooth. Stir in pretzels. , Spread into prepared pan. Refrigerate until firm. Break into pieces.

1 (12 ounce) package almond bark
1 (9 ounce) package small pretzels

Steps:

Slowly melt almond bark in an appropriate pan or follow directions on package.
Dip pretzels in white chocolate and lay on wax paper to firm.
When firm, you may put in a covered bowl or in a bag.

Line a cookie sheet with wax paper. Place chopped almonds in a bowl and get out your pretzel rods.
Stir chocolate chips and oil in a microwave safe bowl. (I like to use Dixie paper bowls for this because it’s easy clean up.) Heat on high power in 30 second increments, stirring between each, until chocolate is melted and smooth.
Dip each pretzel rod in the chocolate as for as you can in the bowl you’re using. If you want the chocolate to come further up the rod than the bowl allows, use as spoon to paint it up the rod. Tap off the excess chocolate, then place the rod on the prepared cookie sheet. Sprinkle with chopped almonds. Repeat until chocolate is gone. Chill to set.
Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week. These make great party snacks or homemade gifts!
