Healthy Almond Flour Banana Bread is a moist, melt-in-your-mouth quick bread your entire family will love! It's paleo friendly and refined sugar free. Your family will go bananas for it!

3 medium-large bananas (1 cup mashed very ripe bananas with brown spots)
3 eggs (large)
1/4 cup any sweetener
1/4 cup any mild oil or melted butter
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
3 cups almond flour (not almond meal)
Cooking spray (I use Misto)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F, line metal 9 x 5 loaf pan with parchment paper or leave non-stick as is. Spray only bottom and lower 1" with cooking spray. Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add bananas and mash with a masher. Then add eggs, sweetener, oil, vanilla, cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder and salt; whisk until combined.
  • Add almond flour and stir and mix gently with spatula to combine.
  • Pour batter into previously prepared loaf pan and bake for 50 minutes or until the toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
  • Remove almond flour banana bread from the oven and transfer to a cooling rack to cool off for 10 minutes. Remove bread from a loaf pan and let it cool off completely. Slice with sharp serrated knife - works best with breads to keep them from falling apart.

1/2 C. butter (room temperature)
2 C. sugar
2 eggs
1 C. milk
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 tsp. almond extract
3 C. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3 bananas (mashed)
1/2 C. sliced almonds (optional)
extra sugar for sprinkling (optional)

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and prep two large loaf pans by greasing. I like to also lien mine with parchment paper to easily remove my bread.
  • 2. Beat butter and sugar until creamy.
  • 3. Add eggs, milk, vanilla and almond extract and stir until combined.
  • 4. In a separate bowl. combine flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
  • 5. Add dry ingredients to wet slowly. Follow immediately by adding mashed bananas. Mix just until combined.
  • 6. Pour into prepared pans.
  • 7. Sprinkle a layer of sliced almonds on top and lightly sprinkles some sugar on top. This adds extra texture and makes the bread really beautiful, but it's totally optional!
  • 8. Bake for 40-60 minutes or until an inserted knife comes out clean.
  • 9. Let cool in pans and then remove and serve!

This Almond Banana Bread recipe takes traditional banana bread to the next level! It uses almond extract and sliced almonds to add a subtle almond flavor to this moist banana bread.

2 bananas (ripe)
1/4 cup coconut oil (melted, room temperature)
1/4 cup almond milk
2 eggs
1 tsp almond extract
1 cup whole wheat flour
3/4 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup raw cane sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 cup sliced almonds
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1 tbsp almond milk
1/4 tsp almond extract
1/4 cup sliced almonds (toasted)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Use a fork to mash the bananas into the bottom of a bowl, removing as many lumps as possible.
  • Add the eggs, oil, milk, and almond extract to the bowl with the bananas and whisk to combine.
  • In a separate bowl, stir both flours, sugar, baking powder, and baking soda together, then stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Last, stir the almonds in by hand.
  • Grease a 9x5 bread pan, then pour the batter into the pan and bake bread for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Leave bread in bread pan for 10 minutes, then run a knife along the edges and carefully invert it onto a cooling rack.
  • While bread is cooling, prepare the glaze: Place sliced almonds on a baking sheet and toast them for 7-10 minutes, or until they're slightly golden brown. Meanwhile, stir powdered sugar, milk and extract together.
  • Once the bread has cooled, drizzle the glaze overtop, then sprinkle with the toasted almonds. Slice and enjoy!

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
3 bananas, mashed
¼ cup coconut oil, melted
¼ cup honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups almond flour

¾ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
½ teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Prepare a bread pan with cooking spray.
  • Mix eggs and vinegar together in a bowl; add bananas, coconut oil, honey, and vanilla extract and stir until blended.
  • Sift flour, cinnamon, baking powder, nutmeg and salt together in a large bowl; stir into banana mixture until well blended. Pour batter into prepared bread pan.

Love banana bread and I love my bread machine. The pair together is the best thing since sliced banana bread! This is a super moist, cholesterol and fat (except the small amount in the flour) free bread that you can just pop into your bread machine and let it bake! It's the best banana bread I've ever had, and ever made. I hope you'll enjoy it! Note: Recipe does not double well in the bread machine. Should be fine if you want to do it by hand and bake in the oven at 350 for 40-50 minutes.

1/2 cup plain fat-free yogurt
1/3 cup sugar, sucanat
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup bread flour
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/3 cup almonds, chopped
3 mashed bananas

Steps:

  • Put the items into the bread machine in the order suggested by your manufacturer. I actually prefer the wet ingredients first for quick breads because otherwise the flour sometimes doesn't get mixed all the way inches.
  • Set the bread machine for quick or sweet bread.
  • Let it go!
  • You can use different nuts, add some raisins, whatever you want. I might also add a little cinnamon next time.
  • NOTE: Sucanat is dried cane sugar. You can also use half sucanat and half brown sugar.
  • In order to make this a clean recipe, choose organic. My flour is milled from grain I purchase from non-gmo sources, but organic works too.
