1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/3 c. cocoa powder
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
Pinch kosher salt
1/4 c. butter, melted and cooled slightly
1 large egg

Steps:

Grease a 6" round cake pan with cooking spray. In a medium bowl, whisk to combine sugar, cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt.
In a small bowl, whisk melted butter and egg until combined. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until combined.
Transfer brownie batter to prepared cake pan and smooth top. Cook in air fryer at 350° for 16-18 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes before slicing.

I made this recipe in my Cuisinart® Air Fryer Oven and my brownies wound up with a crispy and crackly top yet soft and gooey in the center. Air frying the brownies cuts the baking time in half and there's no need to preheat your air fryer oven!

½ cup all-purpose flour
⅛ teaspoon baking powder
⅛ teaspoon salt
1 cup white sugar
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
2 eggs
2 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened baking chocolate, melted
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
1 teaspoon powdered sugar, or to taste

Steps:

Grease and flour an 8x8-inch square pan.
Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl.
Beat sugar and butter together in a large bowl with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs until a smooth batter forms. Beat in chocolate and vanilla extract. Stir in the flour mixture until just incorporated; fold in walnuts. Spread batter into the prepared square pan.
Place pan in the air fryer basket. Place on the lowest rack in air fryer oven and cook at 300 degrees F (150 degrees C) until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, 18 to 25 minutes.
Cool completely in the pan, about 30 minutes. Cut into 9 squares and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Line the inside of an 8-inch (20cm) baking pan with parchment paper and wrap the outside of the pan with aluminum foil to create some sort of handles for the pan. This makes it easier to lift the brownies in and out of the air fryer basket. (See photos in post above for visual guidance.) Set aside.
Preheat the air fryer to 325°F (163°C). In a heat-proof bowl, melt the chocolate and butter until combined and smooth. Make sure that the chocolate doesn't get too hot too quickly. If you're using a microwave, then stir every 15-20 seconds to prevent the chocolate from seizing. Then, stir in the cocoa and let sit for 5 minutes.
In the meantime, whisk the eggs, sugar, and vanilla in a large mixing bowl until frothy and bubbly, about 3-5 minutes. Add the warm chocolate mixture and whisk until combined. Then, add the flour and salt and whisk just to incorporate.
Spoon the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Place the pan in the preheated air fryer and bake for 15 minutes.
