Quick Air Fryer Cinnamon Rolls image

These air fryer cinnamon rolls are made with puff pastry, so their cooking time is only 7 minutes! Enjoy these easy cinnamon rolls for breakfast or as a last-minute dessert.

1 tablespoon Ground Cinnamon
¾ stick Unsalted Butter (, softened (80 grams))
6 tablespoons Brown Sugar
1 Sheet Puff Pastry (, thawed (see note 1))
½ cup Powdered Sugar
1 tablespoon Milk
2 teaspoons Fresh Lemon Juice

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine cinnamon, softened butter and sugar. Mix well.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400° Fahrenheit (200° Celsius) for 4 minutes.
  • Gently roll out (or unroll, if using ready-rolled pastry) the pastry and spread the cinnamon mixture across the whole sheet - in a thin layer.
  • Roll it very gently and loosely (without applying any pressure), starting from the shorter end. This way you will achieve a good amount of swirls. If you start from the wider end, you might not have enough swirls and the cinnamon rolls will kind of unroll when cooking so they will not look so pretty. If you don't mind this, then go ahead and roll them from the wider end.
  • With a serrated knife or flavor-free dental floss, cut the pastry into about 1-inch (2.5 centimeters) pieces.
  • Transfer them to a preheated air fryer and cook at 400° Fahrenheit (200° Celsius) for 7 minutes or until the rolls are puffed and golden brown (see note 6).
  • When ready, take them out, let them cool slightly before topping them with icing made by combining powdered sugar, milk and lemon juice.
  • Enjoy while warm!

2 cups ground walnuts, toasted
1/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
12 sheets frozen phyllo dough, thawed
1/2 cup butter, melted
SYRUP:
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon lemon juice

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Combine walnuts, sugar and cinnamon., Place 1 sheet of phyllo dough on a 15x12-in. piece of waxed paper; brush with butter. Place a second phyllo sheet on top, brushing it with butter. (Keep remaining phyllo covered with a damp towel to prevent it from drying out.) Sprinkle with 1/4 cup walnut mixture. Using waxed paper, roll up tightly jelly-roll style, starting with a long side, removing paper as you roll. Slice roll into 4 smaller rolls; transfer rolls to a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. Repeat with remaining phyllo dough and walnut mixture, by 1/4 cupfuls. Bake until light brown, 14-16 minutes. Cool dish on a wire rack., Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine all syrup ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 5 minutes. Cool 10 minutes. Drizzle cinnamon rolls with syrup; sprinkle with remaining walnut mixture.

Who says you can't have homemade cinnamon rolls in just 20 minutes? Thanks to the trusty air fryer and a can of store-bought crescent dough, you'll have these cozy classics on the table in no time at all. Bring new use to your egg bites mold or mini muffin tin by creating pastries perfect for little hands and afterschool treats.

Nonstick cooking spray
One 8-ounce can refrigerated crescent roll dough
All-purpose flour, for rolling
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 3/4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
2 teaspoons whole milk
1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Spray a silicone egg bites mold or small (12-cup) mini muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Spread the crescent dough out on a lightly floured surface. Press the perforations to seal and roll it out into an 8-by-12-inch rectangle. Spread 3 tablespoons of butter over the dough. Sprinkle with 1 1/2 teaspoons of the cinnamon and the brown sugar. With the short end facing you, cut the dough horizontally into 12 strips, each 1 inch wide. Roll each strip up to form a spiral. Place the rolls spiral side up in the prepared pan. If using a silicone egg bites mold you may need to work in batches.
  • Place the pan or silicone mold in a 6-quart air fryer. Cook at 325 degrees F until deeply golden brown, 6 to 8 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the icing. Microwave the remaining 1 tablespoon butter in a microwave-safe cup until melted, about 15 seconds. Combine the confectioners' sugar, milk, vanilla and remaining 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon in a small bowl. Whisk in the melted butter until smooth. Set aside.
  • Allow the cinnamon rolls to cool for 3 minutes before removing them from the pan. Drizzle the frosting over the warm rolls and serve.
