Easy to make, air fryer cookies with white chips. This recipes takes just a few minutes, creating soft and chewy cookies.

1 Box Cake Mix
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
3/4 cup chips or candy (optional)
1/2 cup sprinkles or nuts (optional)

Steps:

  • Prepare the basket of your airfryer by placing a piece of parchment paper in the bottom. Poke holes in the paper for air flow.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, oil, and eggs. Mix until all of the ingredients are combined and it is a thick dough.
  • If using baking chips, candies, sprinkles, or nuts, stir them into the dough, until they are evenly distributed.
  • Use a small scoop or spoon and drop scoops of dough into the prepared basket of your air fryer. Be sure to allow room for the dough to slightly spread. Work in batches and do not let the dough touch or overlap.
  • Cook at 370 degrees Fahrenheit for four minutes per batch.

Steps:

  • In a large mixing bowl, mix the cake mix, vegetable oil, and eggs.
  • Spray your air fryer tray with cooking spray, or line your air fryer basket with parchment paper.
  • Use a cookie scoop and make a ball of dough about one tablespoon. Then roll the dough into the powdered sugar.
  • As you make them, place them in your greased tray, and then place the tray or basket into the air fryer for 5-7 minutes at 330 degrees F. (they will harden when they cool) (air fryer setting)
  • Plate, serve, and enjoy!

6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
½ cup powdered sugar

Steps:

  • Position a rack in center of the oven and preheat to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Stir cake mix, eggs, and butter together in a large bowl.
  • Shape dough into 1-inch balls; roll in powdered sugar to coat. Set balls about 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.
  • Bake 1 pan at a time, in the preheated oven, just until edges are firm and cracks appear slightly moist, 9 to 11 minutes. Cool on pans for 3 minutes; transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

These are chewy, fudgy, SUPER EASY cookies that you can probably make right now! I have watched these disappear time and again and everyone is always asking for the recipe. It is almost embarrassing to give it out, it is that easy :) Enjoy! (12/14/06: I wanted to add that Betty Crocker has updated this recipe by adding 1 tsp. vanilla extract, but I don't want to change the original recipe.) *12/22/07: Please see my tips at the end of the recipe! **12/23/08: Betty Crocker has now added a version of the same exact recipe in which the cookie dough balls are rolled in granulated sugar instead of powdered sugar. I've tried this and they're also very good.

1 (18 1/4 ounce) box devil's food cake mix (Betty Crocker Super Moist suggested)
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
confectioners' sugar or granulated sugar, for rolling

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Stir (by hand) dry cake mix, oil and eggs in a large bowl until dough forms.
  • Dust hands with confectioners' sugar and shape dough into 1" balls.
  • Roll balls in confectioners' sugar and place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes or until center is JUST SET.
  • Remove from pans after a minute or so and cool on wire racks.
  • *My Notes*:.
  • I have tried these with several different cake mix brands. They all come out good, but the Betty Crocker does come out the best.
  • I was having a problem with my cookies flattening while baking. This usually happens with the generic cake mix brands. You can play with your oven temp and try them on 375 to keep them from spreading. Adding more oil than called for will also cause the cookies to spread -- I wouldn't suggest it, they really don't need extra oil.
  • Another way to keep them nice and thick and to get the most "crinkled" or "crackled" look is to make them bigger. When I roll them at about 1.5 inches they look prettier.
  • And my best tip: My confectioners' sugar was consistently being absorbed by the dough. The last time I baked them, I rolled them into balls without rolling in the sugar and let them "dry" for a few minutes. Then I rolled them in sugar and baked. These came out with a nice coating of sugar that didn't disappear.

1/2 cup butter, melted
2 eggs
2 cups mix-ins, such as chocolate chips, nuts, candy bits, etc.

Steps:

  • Preheat air fryer to 325°F and line racks or basket with parchment paper.
  • Stir together cake mix, melted butter, and eggs in a medium bowl until well blended. Stir in mix-ins.
  • Using a cookie scoop, form dough into balls, about 2-tablespoons each. Place balls on lined fryer racks, 2-inches apart. Press dough balls to flatten into 2-inch discs. Air fry cookies in batches until lightly browned, 10 to 12 minutes. If you have a toaster oven style air fryer, keep an eye on them, they may cook faster.
  • Let cookies cool 2 minutes before removing to wire rack to cool completely. Cake mix cookies can also be baked in a conventional oven at 350°F for 9 to 12 minutes.
