5-INGREDIENT TACO CASSEROLE
Your busiest weeknights just got a little bit easier, thanks to this 5-Ingredient Taco Casserole! Thanks to a crescent roll crust, it's an easy dinner recipe that's on the table in about 30 minutes!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Spray a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- Unroll crescent roll dough and gently press into the bottom of the prepared dish to form a crust. Set aside.
- Cook ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until meat is no longer pink. Drain and return to skillet. Stir in taco seasoning mix and 2/3 cup water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer uncovered for 3-4 minutes (stirring often), until thickened. Stir in salsa.
- Spoon beef mixture over the crescent roll dough. Sprinkle with grated cheese.
- Bake for 20 minutes, or until crust is golden brown. Cut into squares, garnish with optional toppings, and serve.

- Preheat oven to 375°F. Lightly grease an 11×7-inch baking dish. In a medium skillet over medium/medium-high heat, brown the ground beef and onion together; drain, if needed. Stir in the garlic and cook for another minute. Stir in the dry taco seasoning, taco sauce, water, and undrained green chiles. Cook over medium heat until almost all the liquid has been cooked out. Layer half the broken shells on the bottom of the baking dish; cover with half of the meat mixture, then 1 cup of cheese on top. Repeat layers with the remaining ingredients (shells, meat, cheese). Top with sliced jalapenos or black olives, if desired. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or bubbly around the edges and cheese is melted. Serve hot with garnishes of choice. Refried beans are a great side dish with this.

- Turn on a multi-functional pressure cooker (such as Instant Pot®) and select Saute function. Add ground beef and cook and stir until crumbly and browned, about 5 minutes. Add salsa and frozen vegetables. Cancel Saute mode. Close and lock the lid.
- Select high pressure according to manufacturer's instructions; set timer for 4 minutes. Allow 10 to 15 minutes for pressure to build.
- Release pressure carefully using the quick-release method according to manufacturer's instructions, about 5 minutes. Unlock and remove the lid.
- Ladle soup into serving bowls and top with Cheddar cheese and Mexican crema.

FANTASTIC TACO CASSEROLE!
I think this casserole tastes even better than a real taco, it is SO DELICIOUS! ...if you love tacos, then you will love this casserole! My recipe#76616 works great for this recipe. ALL ingredients can be adjusted to suit taste. It is best to prepare this casserole and bake right away as the broken tacos will get too soggy.

Steps:
- Set oven to 350 degrees.
- Cook beef, onion, bell pepper, chili flakes and garlic until beef is no longer pink; drain then season with seasoning salt and black pepper (or cayenne pepper).
- Stir in water, taco sauce, green chiles, half of the olives and taco seasoning mix (you can use 2 packages of seasoning mix if desired for this).
- Cook over low heat for about 6-8 minutes.
- Layer HALF of broken shells on bottom of greased 13x9 baking pan; cover with HALF of meat sauce, then sprinkle with 2 cups (or to taste) cheddar cheese.
- Repeat with remaining broken taco shells, meat sauce and then top with remaining cheese (to prevent the cheese from getting hard, you can sprinkle on the last 10 minutes before the end of baking time and return to oven until melted).
- Bake for 20 minutes or until bubbly, and cheese is melted.
- After baking, sprinkle with remaining olives, tomatoes and green onions.
- **NOTE** I sometimes drizzle bottled salsa sauce (mild or spicy) on top of the ground beef and then on top before baking.
