Steps:
- Beat eggs in a shallow bowl.
- Add a pinch of salt and mix together.
- Add ½ tbsp of oil to the frying pan and heat oil on medium temp.
- Check that oil is ready by dropping a small amount of egg mixture into the pan. If it sizzles, oil is ready for cooking.
- Use any sliced toast bread or even hot dog buns and hamburger buns.
- Dip a slice of bread into egg mixture to coat on one side and then quickly flip on to the other side. Remove from egg mixture promptly. Avoid letting bread sit in the egg mixture otherwise it will be soggy.
- Leave slices to cook for 1-2 minutes until golden colored. Flip and cook on the other side.
- Remove from the pan and place on the plate.
- Serve with syrup or jam.

Steps:
- Preheat griddle to 350 degrees F or or heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Add all ingredients, except the bread, to a blender or to a shallow dish and whisk well to combine. If whisking by hand, it's okay if the flour doesn't mix in completely smooth.
- Dip bread slices into the batter, dredging them well on both sides, and place on hot, greased griddle or skillet.
- Cook for a few minutes, until the bottom of the breads starts to get golden brown. Flip and cook on the other side the same.
- Remove to a plate. Serve warm with syrup and a sprinkle of powdered sugar.

Steps:
- Mix together in a shallow bowl or a deep side pie pan the eggs, milk, vanilla, and if you want cinnamon french toast the cinnamon.
- Stir with a fork.
- Heat your fry pan or cast iron over medium heat. Add a little olive oil or vegetable oil to lightly coat the bottom of the pan so the toast will not stick.
- Using a fork lightly lower a slice of bread in the egg mixture and coat on both sides.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 250°F. Pour ice cream into a large baking dish. Add bread, turn to coat, then let sit 3 minutes. Flip bread and continue to soak until saturated but not soggy, about 3 minutes more.
- Heat 2 Tbsp. butter in a large skillet over medium. Using tongs, carefully lift 2 bread slices from custard, letting excess drip back into dish. Transfer to skillet in a single layer and cook until golden brown and the center of toast springs back when pressed, about 4 minutes per side. Transfer to a wire rack set inside a rimmed baking sheet; keep warm in oven until ready to serve. Repeat with 2 Tbsp. butter and remaining bread. Top toasts with remaining 1 Tbsp. butter and serve.
CLASSIC FRENCH TOAST
There are just a few keys to making great French toast: Use stale bread (fresh tends to fall apart), make sure the bread is sliced at least 3/4-inch thick (it helps maximize soaking for a custardy interior) and watch your soaking time (a shorter time equals a slightly drier toast, a longer time yields a more custardy one).

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F. Lay the bread slices in one layer (it's OK if they overlap a little) on a baking sheet. Bake the slices (to dry them out a little) for 6 minutes, then flip and bake for 6 minutes more. Set aside to cool. Reduce the oven temperature to 200 degrees F.
- Whisk together the eggs, half-and-half, granulated sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and salt in a large casserole dish.
- Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-low to medium heat. Place 2 slices of bread in the egg mixture. Let the bread completely soak in the egg mixture on both sides, about 30 seconds to 1 minute total, checking after 15 seconds. (Bread should feel heavy and soaked through but hold its shape without breaking apart.) Melt a tablespoon of butter in the skillet and add the 2 soaked slices; cook until the outside is golden brown and crisp and the inside is cooked through, 4 to 5 minutes per side. You will need to watch and adjust the temperature between medium and medium-low if the bread is browning too quickly or not browning fast enough. Keep finished French toast slices warm on a rack nested in a rimmed baking sheet in the oven. Repeat with the remaining slices.
- Serve with a dusting of confectioners' sugar and drizzle of maple syrup.
EASY FRENCH TOAST
