WARFRAME: TOP 10 PRIME WEAPONS, RANKED - THEGAMER
From thegamer.com
Estimated Reading Time 8 mins
- Kronen Prime. If you're an avid Warframe player, this shouldn't come as a surprise. The Kronen Prime has everything you'd want from a melee weapon: High base damage.
- Glaive Prime. The Glaive Prime is less of a melee weapon and more of an explosive disc you throw at enemies. You can attack enemies with a flurry of light attacks, but that's not the Glaive's strong suit.
- Nikana Prime. In a game about ninjas, it would make sense for there to be throwing knives and katanas. The nikana series of weapons are effectively katanas, combining rapid strikes with brutal combos.
- Pyrana Prime. Very few secondary weapons in Warframe pack as much of a punch as the Pyrana Prime. It has a solid stat package that's tuned towards dishing out as many critical hits as possible.
- Redeemer Prime. While slightly weaker than the Stropha, the Redeemer Prime stands as one of the best weapons in Warframe. It serves as a pocket shotgun with infinite ammo that just so happens to also be a great melee weapon.
- Reaper Prime. Reap the souls of your foes with the Reaper Prime, arguably the best scythe in Warframe. This weapon features one of the best stat packages out of any melee weapon.
- Knell Prime. Have you ever wanted a Vectis Prime that was fully automatic and had infinite ammo? That's effectively what the Knell Prime is. This secondary pistol has a unique feature where headshots grant the Knell infinite ammo, more status chance, and a higher critical multiplier for two seconds.
- Orthos Prime. Despite the Guando Prime having better critical and range stats, the Orthos Prime still slightly edges out over Nezha Prime's favored melee weapon due to its evergreen status—meaning this weapon will never be vaulted.
- Cornith Prime. Don't let the weapon category fool you; the Corinth Prime is a grenade launcher that's disguised as a shotgun. This weapon's alternate fire mode fires explosive grenades that deal 2,200 damage in a 9.8-meter radius.
- Rubico Prime. Sniper Rifles might not be your first choice of primary in Warframe, although it's good to have a hard-hitting weapon in your arsenal for certain bosses.
5 BEST PRIMARY WEAPONS FOR BEGINNERS 2022 - WARFRAME SCHOOL
From warframe-school.com
Estimated Reading Time 5 mins
- Tigris (MR 7) If you can’t use (or get your hands on) the Tigris Prime or the Sancti Tigris, starting out with the normal version of the Tigris is a great way to increase your damage potential against higher level enemies or even during boss fights.
- Fulmin (MR 8) The Fulmin is Wisp’s signature weapon and eventually will have its own primed version in the game. But in the end it doesn’t matter if you get the primed version or buy the standard blueprint from the market, because it will always be a great way to help you through longer or harder missions – especially if you’re a newer player.
- Ignis Wraith (MR 9) This weapon is probably the hardest to get in our Top 5 selection, but it will be totally worth it. Currently you can either wait for Baro Ki’Teer to sell it in his shop, you can buy it from other players via Trade Chat or from Warframe Market – or you can try and get it from one of the clans that actually do own the blueprint.
- Zhuge (MR 10) Sadly, bows and crossbows are not the greatest weapon choices in Warframe (unless you do have a maxed out Lenz or a great Kuva Bramma), mainly because they are super slow in comparison to other primary weapon types.
- Vaykor Hek (MR 12) The Hek can already be obtained once you’ve level up to Mastery Rank 4. It is a great shotgun to start out with, but eventually you really want to upgrade to the Syndicate version, the Vaykor Hek.

- Bubonico. Take the Cedo's excellent status effects and pair it with the Kuva Zarr. You end up with the Bubonico, an Infested arm cannon shotgun that is more comparable to an Arch-Gun than a proper primary weapon.
- Kuva Zarr. Introduced in the Sisters of Parvos update, the Kuva Zarr is a significantly stronger variant of the default Zarr. This weapon is effectively a grenade launcher and shotgun strapped together, both featuring great critical and status chances.
- Cedo. The Cedo is Lavos' signature shotgun that has Condition Overload as a passive. As the enemy is afflicted with more status types, this gun becomes stronger.
- Kuva Bramma. Digital Extremes have repeatedly nerfed the Kuva Bramma, yet it remains as one of the game's strongest bows. Every arrow packs an explosive punch that detonates before releasing smaller cluster bomblets.
- Phantasma. Out of every weapon in Warframe, the Phantasma arguably got the largest buff from the Sisters of Parvos update. This status-focused beam/shotgun hybrid is seen by most as a good status primer, inflicting status procs constantly with its 22.2% base status chance and 12 fire rate.
- Acceltra. Statistically speaking, the Acceltra is a good critical weapon that has little status chance. On paper, this means the weapon will fall off significantly in endurance missions and Steel Path content against Grineer.
- Ignis Wraith. Getting this augmented flamethrower is rather odd, as its blueprint can only be obtained from clans who participated during an event that occurred years ago.
- Fulmin. Wisp's signature weapon is easily one of Warframe's best primaries. Available as early as Mastery Rank 8, the Fulmin is a hybrid between an assault rifle and shotgun that can switch between modes with its alt-fire.
- Trumna. Galvanized Mods have given the Trumna new life. Released alongside the Cambion Drift, the Trumna is a slow-firing, hard-hitting assault rifle that puts most Arch-Guns to shame.
- Rubico Prime. Sniper rifles are rarely seen as a viable option in any fast-paced video game, typically lacking mobility improvements or ease of use like other weapon categories.
WARFRAME: TOP 10 SECONDARY WEAPONS, RANKED - THEGAMER
From thegamer.com
Estimated Reading Time 9 mins
- Kuva Nukor. After players started obtaining the Kuva Nukor from Kuva Liches, it became clear which weapon was going to dominate the meta until further notice.
- Secondary Kitguns. Putting Kitguns is somewhat cheating as they are a weapon category, but every single Kitgun except Gaze barrels are so powerful that they deserve to be bundled together.
- Kuva Brakk. Should players need a solid secondary shotgun that can both inflict status effects and deal critical hits, the Kuva Brakk is the best option available.
- Pyrana Prime. What the Pyrana Prime lacks in status chance it makes up for in sheer ferocity. High critical stats and high base damage make this weapon a powerhouse in virtually all content.
- Mara Detron. The Mara Detron might not bring the same pure destructive power that the Pyrana does, but what it lacks in fire rate it makes up for in its status chance.
- Aksomati Prime. Bullet-hose secondaries can't get much better than the Aksomati Prime. Its base damage of 20 is deceptively low. When players factor in the weapon's 24% critical chance and 3x critical damage multiplier, it's easy to see why this weapon is so frequently used.
- Athodai. Dealing mostly Heat damage, the Athodai is Warframe's version of a powerful hand cannon. This weapon is anything but a hand cannon, however, at least in terms of functionality.
- Sepulcrum. If the Kuva Seer seems lacking in the damage department, look no further than the Sepulcrum. This weapon is a powerhouse of a pistol, featuring explosive bolts that deal Heat damage alongside a 30% critical chance and 2.2x critical damage multiplier.
- Sicarus Prime. Obtaining the Sicarus Prime can range from easy to absurdly difficult. This is thanks to the ever-rotating Prime Vault that releases and removes Prime items from the game every quarter.
- Kuva Kraken. Note that this is the Kuva Kraken, not the default Kraken. The base Kraken is one of the worst weapons in a looter shooter, shooting marshmallows at enemies at a slow fire rate, backed with a relatively long reload.
WARFRAME: TOP 10 MELEE WEAPONS, RANKED - THEGAMER
From thegamer.com
Estimated Reading Time 9 mins
- Kronen Prime. This should come as no surprise if you've played Warframe much recently. The Kronen Prime has everything you'd want from a melee weapon
- Glaive Prime. If you're a Warframe veteran, this should come as no surprise. The Glaive Prime is less of a melee weapon and more of a throwable bomb. Very few users equip the Glaive Prime to spam its light attack.
- Nikana Prime. The Nikana Prime has been a powerhouse ever since it was released. Through various updates through the years, the Nikana Prime's identity has slightly shifted towards a Heavy Attack weapon.
- Stropha. Gunblades are one of the strongest melee archetypes in Warframe due to their inherent benefits of firing projectiles while benefiting from a melee combo multiplier.
- Reaper Prime. The Reaper Prime is a fitting name for this regal scythe. Even after the melee nerfs in Update 30.5, the Reaper Prime still stands as one of the most versatile melee weapons in the game.
- Gram Prime. Heavy blades were impacted heavily by the melee Mod nerf in the Sisters of Parvos update. These weapons are typically slow and unwieldy, making the nerf to Blood Rush and Condition Overload more impactful on weapons like the Gram Prime.
- Orthos Prime. Polearms are fantastic at clearing out hordes of enemies all around the player, not just in front of them. The Orthos Prime is still one of the best choices for clearing out hordes, thanks mainly to its 24% critical chance and immense range.
- Venka Prime. You'll have a hard time finding a better crit-focused melee weapon than the Venka Prime. This weapon comes with a whopping 32% critical chance and 2.6x multiplier, amplifying its 188 base damage into the stratosphere when modded properly.
- Pangolin Prime. The Pangolin Prime is unquestionably the best sword in Warframe. It deals a whopping 248 damage a swing, has a 26% chance to critically hit with a 2.2x multiplier, and it has a 30% status chance per swing.
- Zaws. What could be better than a weapon tailored to a player's preferences? Well, a few things, but player-made melee weapons are still more than viable.

From gamersdecide.com
- Tigris Prime (Shotgun) An artifact of exquisite beauty. A weapon of deadly purpose. Tigris Prime comes in 1st place with its insane amount of base damage.
- Arca Plasmor (Shotgun) Stagger targets with blasts from this Corpus engineered plasma shotgun. Surviving enemies are consumed with radiation. Arca Plasmor is a Corpus plasma shotgun dealing high amounts of Radiation Damage.
- Ignis Wraith (Rifle) A blood-red variant of this destructive flamethrower. Ignis Wraith comes in 3rd place for top primary weapons. This weapon is a bit difficult to come by, currently only being offered by the Void Trader.
- Phantasma (Shotgun) Irradiate enemies with a continuous stream of deadly plasma. Charging secondary fire releases a glob of plasma that erupts with homing bomblets on impact.
- Vaykor Hek (Shotgun) Forged in the fires of rebel struggle, this shotgun is a force for liberation. Vaykor Hek is a variation of Hek, sold by Steel Meridian.
- Vectis Prime (Sniper Rifle) Once thought destroyed, the newly uncovered Vectis Prime revives Tenno martial traditions. If you’ve made it to Mastery Rank 14, then you should definitely consider making Vectis Prime.
- Dread (Bow) Dread is the calling card of the Stalker. It fires arrows that can decapitate. Dread is one of the weapon blueprints that drops from the Stalker.
- Soma Prime (Rifle) Known for taking down whole squads with its single massive clip, few weapons were as feared as the Prime Soma. Did you look at the total damage for Soma Prime and think, “How is this in the top 10 with only 12 total damage?”
- Boltor Prime (Rifle) Fires Orokin designed bolts that are faster and sharper but with reduced range. When you were Mastery Rank 2, you may have built yourself Boltor, only to realize it’s a pretty average rifle.
- Tonkor (Grenade Launcher) Hurl mayhem and destruction with this Grineer grenade launcher. Starting off our list is Tonkor, a Grineer-made grenade launcher.
