ROAST BEEF GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICHES



Roast Beef Grilled Cheese Sandwiches image

Grilled cheese roast beef sandwiches; two cheeses, roast beef, bacon, aioli, red onions, and a hearty bread for an easy but soul filling dinner.

Number Of Ingredients 8

4 slices bread ((a hearty one to hold everything together))
2 slices provolone cheese
2 slices colby jack cheese
2 to 4 slice of roast beef
3 to 4 slices cooked bacon
3 to 4 circles red onion ((optional))
2 to 4 TBS rosemary aioli
2 to 4 TBS butter

Steps:

  • Butter the outside of each slice of bread
  • Spread aioli on the inside of each slice of bread
  • Layer 1 slice of provolone on top of one slice of bread
  • Add the roast beef, bacon, red onions (optional), top with colby jack cheese, and another slice of bread
  • Repeat for the second sandwich
  • Set the sandwiches in a heated frying pan, fry for 1 to 2 minutes until butter is browned
  • Carefully flip sandwich over and brown the other side, remove once cheese is melted.
  • Serve with more aioli if desired

2 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 ounces crumbled blue cheese
8 slices sourdough bread
3/4 pound thinly sliced deli roast beef
1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced
1/4 cup olive oil

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, mix cream cheese and blue cheese until blended. Spread over bread slices. Layer 4 of the slices with roast beef and onion; top with remaining bread slices., Brush outsides of sandwiches with oil. In a large skillet, toast sandwiches over medium heat 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown.

Can't decide between a cheeseburger and grilled cheese? Make this toasty grilled beef and cheese sandwich to have the best of both.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 pound Certified Angus Beef ® ground chuck
1 cup chopped mushrooms
1/2 small onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
4 teaspoons butter
8 slices white bread
8 slices Swiss cheese

Steps:

  • Brown ground chuck in medium frying pan with mushrooms, onion and garlic. Drain excess fat; remove beef mixture from pan and wipe pan clean.
  • Melt 1 teaspoon butter over medium-high heat in the same pan. Brown two slices of bread. Flip bread over and top each with one slice Swiss cheese. Top one slice of bread with 1/3 to 1/2 cup hamburger mixture. Place second slice of toasted bread on top and flip sandwich over one more time to melt cheese.
  • Keep prepared Toasty Grilled Beef and Cheese sandwiches warm in oven while cooking the others.

A dash each of salt, pepper and garlic powder
1/4 cup ricotta cheese
tablespoons 1 or 2 butter
4 slices crusty Italian or French bread
1 cup left-over shredded roast beef and onions from a pot-roast dinner

Steps:

  • Stir a dash each of the salt, pepper and garlic powder into the ricotta cheese and blend well.
  • Spread butter on one side of each piece of bread. Spread 1/4 of ricotta cheese mixture on other side of each slice of bread. Divide roast beef and onions evenly on two slices of bread. Top each meat covered bread slice with one remaining cheese spread bread slice.
  • Place in hot skillet or pre-heated sandwich press, butter side down. Grill until bread is golden brown and sandwich it heated through.
