GARLIC CHEDDAR DROP BISCUITS

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Grease a baking sheet with cooking spray.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, garlic powder and salt in a large bowl. Add butter to mixture and use a pastry cutter or two knives to blend until the mixture resembles a coarse meal. Stir in cheese and parsley. Add buttermilk and stir until just combined.
- Use a large ice cream scoop to drop biscuits onto the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle with flakey sea salt. Bake until golden brown, 15 to 18 minutes. Serve immediately.

- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
- Place the flour, baking powder and salt into a food processor and pulse a few times to combine. Add the butter and pulse until the dry ingredients and the butter are mostly combined. (Alternatively, cut the butter into the dry ingredients with a pastry cutter.) Drizzle in the milk and pulse (or stir) just until the dough comes together. Do not over mix.
- Using a regular table spoon, or large spoon, drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto baking trays and bake until nice golden brown, 20 to 25 minutes. If desired, brush with melted butter after you remove them from the oven.

- Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Lightly grease a baking sheet.
- In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, chives, garlic salt and salt. Cut in the shortening until the mixture has only small lumps. Add milk and cheese and stir until moistened. Drop dough by heaping spoonfuls onto prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, until golden.

- Heat oven to 450 degrees.
- Mix Bisquick, milk, cheese, and mayonnaise until a soft dough forms. Knead dough for 30 seconds, then break apart into six equal pieces.
- Place dough pieces on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes until golden on top.
- Mix melted butter and garlic powder. Brush over warm biscuits before removing them from baking sheet.
- Serve warm.

- Preheat oven to 425 degrees with racks in upper and lower third positions. Line two baking sheets with parchment.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, salt, and cayenne pepper. Work butter into flour mixture with a pastry cutter or your fingers until butter is incorporated and pea-size lumps remain. Stir in cheddar, then buttermilk and chives, just until dough comes together.
- Using two spoons, drop 1/4 cup quantities of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spaced 2 inches apart.
- Bake in oven until golden brown, 12-14 minutes, rotating baking sheets once.
CHEESE AND GARLIC DROP BISCUITS
These are very similar to Red Lobster's Cheddar Bay Biscuits but a lot better than the recipes that start with Bisquick, in my opinion. The kids adore them.

- Combine flour, salt, baking powder, cream of tartar, sugar and 1/8- 1/4 teaspoons garlic powder in a mixing bowl.
- Cut in shortening using a pastry blender.
- Mix milk and then cheese into mixture with a wooden spoon.
- Drop by large spoonfuls onto greased baking sheet.
- Bake at 425°F for 10-12 minutes.
- Mix melted butter and 1/8 teaspoons garlic powder together and brush on warm biscuits as soon as you remove them from the oven.
