- Roast Beef. Earlier this summer, Subway discontinued its roast beef sandwich, much to the chagrin of red meat lovers. And for more fun food news, sign up for our newsletter to get daily recipes and food news in your inbox!
- Rotisserie Chicken. Rotisserie chicken was a healthy-ish, fresh option at Subway, and it was great for topping salads. Sadly, the regular chicken is the only chicken option at Subway now.
- Pizza. We're not sure who was going to Subway looking for a personal pizza, but apparently, those people exist. You could get your Subway pizza topped with things like pepperoni and bacon…but wouldn't you rather get pizza literally anywhere else than Subway?
- Ciabatta Collection. In 2019, Subway tried to give customers a fancier offering with the Ciabatta Collection. The sandwich trio included fancy-sounding sandwiches like Chicken Pesto and Garlic Steak & Provolone.
- Subway Club. The discontinuation of roast beef meant that the Subway Club, which included ham, turkey, and roast beef, also fell by the wayside. RIP, Subway Club.

- Bread. At Subway, it begins with bread. The only vegan option available across all locations is the Italian (white), though the chain carries other plant-based bread options that vary by region.
- Condiments. The condiments at Subway can transform a rather bland sandwich into a handhold you’ll actually enjoy. Vegan-friendly options include: Buffalo sauce.
- Sandwiches and wraps. At any Subway, vegans can always depend on the Veggie Delite. Make your sandwich substantial by piling on as many vegetables as you like (banana peppers, black olives, peppers, onions, cucumbers, lettuce, tomato, pickles, spinach, and jalapeños) and amp up the flavor with Subway’s vegan-friendly condiments.
- Salads. The vegan salad at Subway is essentially a breadless Veggie Delight served in a bowl. If your local shop offers the Veggie Patty, we highly suggest adding this to make your salad more substantial.
- Sides. Subway carries a variety of Lay’s brand chips and GoGo Squeez squeezable applesauce to supplement its vegan patrons’ meals. Just be sure to steer clear of the cheese-flavored Doritos and Sunchips.
