- preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- cream butter and sugar with blender, add extracts.
- Add eggs, one at a time; mix well.
- alternate adding flour and sprite; mix well.
- Pour into a floured and greased pan.
- bake 1 hour and 30 minutes.
- Cake should be golden brown when done.
DIET SODA CAKE
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Combine ingredients in a large bowl. Whisk thoroughly and transfer to a baking pan sprayed with nonstick spray; bake in the oven until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean. (Refer to cake-mix box for pan size and approximate bake time.)
SODA CAKE
Steps:
- Combine the cake mix and soda, then bake according to the cake mix baking instructions (do not add the additional ingredients on the box--just the soda). Recommended combinations: spice cake and ginger ale, vanilla cake and orange soda and chocolate cake and cherry soda.

Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease and flour a 10 inch Bundt pan.
- 2. Cream Butter and Shortening until smooth.
- 3. Add Sugar and Beat until light and fluffy(2-3min)
- 4. Add Two Eggs at a time beating until the yolk disappears.
- 5. Add All Extracts and Lemon Zest
- 6. Beat in the flour alternately with the Sprite(cup), mixing just until incorporated.
- 7. Pour batter into prepared pan.
- 8. Bake in the preheated oven for 70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
- 9. Flip cake onto your desired serving plate.
- 10. Mix 1/2 cup of sprite with confectioners sugar.
- 11. Heat glaze in the microwave for 60 seconds
- 12. Pour glaze over warm pound cake.
- 13. Cool and enjoy!!!

SPRITE ZERO CUPCAKES
I had heard about this cake from Terry and she went on and on about how easy and how good it was. She said just sprite zero and a cake mix made a great cake. I googled sprite zero cake and found a website for these cupcakes with only 2 egg whites added. I bought a white cake mix and the sprite zero and the cupcakes were wonderful. They were good without icing, but my family likes icing so I bought a can of icing and when I figured out how much went on each cupcake the cupcake was only about 170 calories. The reviewers on this recipe also recommend cherry coke zero and chocolate cake and other variations. A real treat with no oil or egg yolks.
