My family often asks me to make this zippy ranch-style dip. The recipe, from a local Mexican restaurant, stirs up a creamy blend that tastes great with crunchy tortilla chips or raw vegetables.

1 envelope original ranch salad dressing mix
2 pickled jalapeno peppers, seeded
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded
2 tablespoons minced fresh cilantro
Tortilla chips

Steps:

In a blender or food processor, prepare the ranch salad dressing according to package directions. Add peppers and cilantro; cover and process for 2-3 minutes or until combined. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Serve with tortilla chips.

7.5 ounces jalapeno cream cheese
16 ounces sour cream
1 package spicy ranch salad dressing seasoning mix

Steps:

Let cream cheese set out and soften for at least 30 minutes before preparing to soften
Add cream cheese, sour cream, and spicy ranch dressing seasoning to a food processor and mix really well
Transfer to another bowl and cover and refrigerate for an hour. Or store in an air tight container and store up to a week

Ingredients

3 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup apple jelly
1 tablespoon lime juice
1 (10 ounce) bottle of your favorite salsa
3 jalapeno peppers, seeded and minced (to taste)
1 teaspoon salt

Steps:

Beat the softened cream cheese until its smooth.
Add the apple jelly and lime juice and stir together until well blended.
Gradually add the salsa, then stir in salt and minced jalapenos.
Cover and chill for at least an hour before serving.
Get out the corn chips and veggie dippers and dig in!
