1 1/2 oz Spiced Rum
4 oz Hot Apple Cider
1 Tbsp sugar + 1 Tbsp cinnamon combined
lemon juice

Steps:

Pour a small amount of lemon juice into a shallow container and dip the rim of the glass into it. Shake off excess and dip the rim into the cinnamon sugar mixture.
Pour in spiced rum and hot apple cider together, and stir.
Garnish with cinnamon stick if you like.

Ingredients

4 cups milk (I use 2%, but whole would also be good)
1/4 cup pure maple syrup
1 5-inch cinnamon stick
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg
2 star anise
1 vanilla bean (optional)
2/3 cup Irish cream liqueur (like Baileys)
1/3 cup bourbon (like Maker's Mark)
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Steps:

To a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, add the milk, maple syrup, cinnamon stick, nutmeg, and star anise. If using a vanilla bean, split it open and scrape out the seeds. Add the seeds and remainder of vanilla bean to the pan. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is hot and steaming. Reduce to low and heat for 5 minutes, being careful not to ever let it come to a full boil. Remove from heat. Place a fine-mesh sieve over a large heat-proof bowl and carefully pour the liquid over the sieve. Discard the solids. Add the liquid back to the saucepan. Stir in the Irish cream, bourbon, and vanilla extract.
To garnish the mug rims, pour the 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup into a small saucer. In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon, then pour it onto another small saucer. Dip the rims of the glasses into the maple syrup, then dip into the cinnamon and sugar mix, pressing to coat evenly. Flip over and fill glasses with the hot cocktail. Serve.

Combine the sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in a small bowl, then gradually pour in the rum and melted butter, and stir together. Evenly divide the mixture between two small heatproof glasses. Top each with 100ml boiling water and stir well. Serve with a cinnamon stick to garnish.

1 cup sliced almonds or 1 cup hazelnuts, toasted
1 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 cup Amaretto or 1/8 cup Frangelico, approximately

Steps:

Combine all ingredients(except liqueur) in a food processor, grinding into a powder.
When ready to use, set some of the powder on a plate, pour liqueur into another shallow dish.
Dip a heat-safe mug (since you will be filling this with hot cider or hot buttered rum) into first the alcohol, then press into the powder to coat the rim.
Let sit a few minutes to harden before filling glass with hot beverage of your choice.
