Sour Cream Strawberry Salad Food

STRAWBERRY JELLO SALAD

Steps:

• Whisk together gelatin and boiling water in a large mixing bowl or 8 C measuring cup until the gelatin is dissolved.
• Add 20 oz can of crushed pineapple, drained (do not use fresh pineapple), sliced bananas, frozen sliced strawberries, and pecans. Mix well.
• Pour 1/2 of mixture into a 9x13 baking dish. Put in refrigerator to set for 20-30 minutes. Set aside rest of gelatin, but do not chill.
• When first layer is set, top with sour cream.
• Add rest of gelatin, smooth out towards to the edges to complete the top layer.
• Chill in refrigerator 2hrs to overnight before slicing and serving.

MOLDED STRAWBERRY SALAD

Steps:

• In a large bowl, dissolve gelatin in water. Add strawberries and pineapple. Strain, reserving liquid and fruit. Set aside 1 cup of the liquid at room temperature. , Pour fruit and remaining liquid into a 5-cup ring mold or 9-in. square pan that has been coated with cooking spray. Cover and refrigerate until set, about 1 hour. , Whisk sour cream and reserved liquid; pour over top of gelatin. Cover and refrigerate until set. , Slice and place on individual plates, or unmold onto a serving platter. Garnish with lettuce and strawberries if desired.

SPECIAL STRAWBERRY SALAD

Steps:

• Dissolve unflavored gelatin in cold water. In a medium saucepan over low heat, heat cream and sugar until sugar dissolves. Stir in gelatin mixture until dissolved. Remove from the heat; stir in sour cream and vanilla. Pour into a 2-qt. glass bowl; chill until firm. Dissolve strawberry gelatin in boiling water. Drain orange liquid into strawberry gelatin; blend well. Gently stir in strawberries until thawed. Pour over cream layer; arrange oranges on top (allow to settle) and chill until firm.

STRAWBERRIES WITH SOUR CREAM

Steps:

• In small bowl combine sour cream, vanilla, and maple syrup. Whisk together and pour over strawberries and serve.

STRAWBERRY SOUR CREAM SALAD

Steps:

• Dissolve Jello with boiling water and strawberry juice.
• Add Strawberries and mix well.
• Add smashed Bananas and drained Pineapple.
• Pour half of the mixture into a large oblong dish (8 x 12 or 9 x 13) and set in refrigerator for about 30-60 mins (est.).
• Spread sour cream evenly over top of congealed jello.
• Add remaining jello mixture and chill until well set (several hours or set overnight for best results).

STRAWBERRIES WITH SWEETENED SOUR CREAM

Steps:

• In a small bowl, whisk together sour cream and sugar. If desired, sprinkle more sugar on top as a garnish. Serve with fresh strawberries, rinsed and patted dry.
