Comfort food straight from your crock pot! Slow Cooker Beef Tips and Gravy.

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 Cup Flour
1 tsp Onion Powder
1 tsp Garlic Powder
Salt and Pepper (to taste)
2.5 lbs Beef Tips or Stew Meat ( Cut into Bite Sized Pieces)
2 tablespoons Oil
1 Cup Water
1 Pkt Brown Gravy Mix
1/4 Cup Worcestershire Sauce
1/4 Cup Soy Sauce
Mashed Potatoes

Steps:

  • Combine flour, garlic and onion powders and salt and pepper in a ziplock bag and toss meat to coat.
  • Heat oil to medium in a skillet or stove top safe slow cooker and brown meat.
  • Combine remaining ingredients and pour over top of meat in slow cooker.
  • Cook on low for 8-10 hours
  • Serve over mashed potatoes.

3 1/2 lbs sirloin tip roast, fat trimmed and cut into cubes
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 (1 ounce) packages brown gravy mix
3 1/2 cups water
1 (8 ounce) can mushrooms (optional)
1 beef bouillon cube
2 cups long grain brown rice
1/2 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Place the cubed beef and chopped onion in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Mix both packets of brown gravy mix with 1 cup of water, and pour over the beef tips.
  • Add the mushrooms and liquid from the can, if using.
  • Add bouillon cube and set the slow cooker to high for 3-4 hours (or low for 6-8 hours).
  • Place the brown rice, salt and remaining 2 1/2 cups of water in a wide, shallow pan. Bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat to simmer, cover the pan and cook for 30 minutes.
  • Fluff the rice with a fork and place a serving on each plate. Ladle the beef and gravy over the rice for serving.

2 lbs lean stewing beef, cubed
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup (or low-fat)
1 (1 1/4 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix
1 (1 ounce) envelope mushroom gravy mix or 1 (1 ounce) envelope beef gravy mix
3/4 cup beef broth (or beef broth mixed with Burgundy wine)
1 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced
1/2 medium onion, chopped
12 ounces wide egg noodles

Steps:

  • Place beef in the slow cooker.
  • Combine mushroom soup, onion soup mix and gravy mix in a bowl until well blended. Stir in beef broth.
  • Add mushrooms and onions to mixture, then pour over beef.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 5 to 6 hours, or on HIGH for 3 to 4 hours.
  • Cook egg noodle according to directions on package.
  • Spoon beef mixture over hot noodles and serve.

1 1/2 lbs beef chuck roast
1 1/2 tablespoons lemon pepper seasoning (optional)
1 (2 ounce) package lipton dry onion soup mix
1 (14 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
1 (14 ounce) can low sodium beef broth

Steps:

  • In a five quart slow cooker, combine dry onion soup mix, cream of mushroom soup & beef broth. Whisk to combine (don't worry if there are any lumps; they will come out as it cooks.
  • Cut beef into about 1.5 inch cubes (or use pre-cut beef tips). Sprinkle lemon pepper seasoning on beef.
  • Add meat to crock pot and give it a good stir.
  • Cover and cook on low for at least 6-8 hours.
  • Once ready, work on gravy if you'd like it thicker. In a medium pot, melt two tbls butter. Once melted, add in about 3 heaping tbls of flour. Whisk it together until smooth.
  • Pour in 2 cups of the beef broth mixture into the butter/flour mixture. Whisk until smooth and bring the heat up to high. Once it reaches desired thickness, take off heat and return gravy to crock pot.
  • Serve over rice, noodles, or whatever strikes your fancy!

1/3 cup flour
1 lb bottom sirloin beef caps, cubed
1/2 cup shallot, chopped
1 lb mushroom, sliced
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can condensed beef broth
2 teaspoons tomato paste or 2 teaspoons tomato sauce
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup red wine
4 -6 cups hot buttered egg noodles

Steps:

  • Add salt and pepper to flour.
  • Dredge beef in flour mixture.
  • Place meat in crock pot.
  • Cover with shallots and mushrooms.
  • Mix beef broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce and red wine; pour over meat and vegetables.
  • Cook on low setting for 8 hours.
  • Mix 3 Tablespoons flour into 1/3 cup water, making a smooth paste.
  • Add to crock pot and cook another 45 minutes.
  • Serve over hot buttered noodles.
