This recipe using only three chicken breasts is very economical and super delicious! My kids love it and they are extremely picky. The chicken just melts in your mouth and is so flavorful! Garlic bread and salad goes well with this meal. I always taste before serving so I will know what, if anything more, I need to add such as Parmesan, Italian dressing, or milk if it's too thick, etc.

1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
3 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
1 (10.75 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
6 ounces Italian salad dressing
⅔ cup sour cream
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
¼ cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons malt vinegar
1 (8 ounce) package angel hair pasta

Steps:

  • Whisk sea salt, black pepper, cumin, paprika, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder together in a bowl. Season chicken breasts with seasoning mixture and place chicken in the slow cooker.
  • Stir cream of mushroom soup, Italian dressing, sour cream, Parmesan cheese, flour, and vinegar together in a bowl; pour over chicken.
  • Cook on Low for 6 hours.
  • Shred chicken in the slow cooker using 2 forks.
  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook angel hair in the boiling water, stirring occasionally until cooked through but firm to the bite, 4 to 5 minutes. Drain.
  • Serve chicken over angel hair pasta.

1 package (8 oz) baby bella mushrooms, quartered
4 medium carrots, halved lengthwise and cut into 2-inch pieces (about 2 cups)
1 teaspoon finely chopped garlic
1 cup frozen small whole onions (from 14-oz bag)
2 bay leaves
1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme leaves
3- to 3 1/2-lb cut-up broiler-fryer chicken
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup Progresso™ chicken broth (from 32-oz carton)
1 tablespoon Muir Glen™ organic tomato paste (from 6-oz can)
Chopped fresh Italian (flat-leaf) parsley, if desired
Betty Crocker™ roasted garlic mashed potato mix, prepared as directed on package, if desired

Steps:

  • Spray inside of 5- to 6-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. In 12-inch nonstick skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove bacon from skillet; drain on paper towels. Cover and refrigerate for later.
  • Drain all drippings from skillet except for 1 tablespoon. Add mushrooms and carrots to skillet; cook over medium heat 4 to 6 minutes or until mushrooms are tender and vegetables are lightly browned. Add garlic; cook 30 to 60 seconds or until fragrant. Transfer mixture to slow cooker; stir in onions. Top with bay leaves and thyme.
  • Season chicken with salt and pepper; cook in two batches in skillet over medium-high heat 2 to 3 minutes on each side, until brown on all sides. Arrange chicken pieces on top of vegetables in slow cooker.
  • In 1-cup measuring cup, beat together chicken broth and tomato paste; pour around chicken in slow cooker. Cover; cook on Low heat setting 3 1/2 to 4 hours or until juice of chicken is clear when thickest pieces are cut to bone (at least 165°F), and vegetables are fork tender. Transfer chicken and vegetables to serving platter, discarding bay leaves. Top with cooked bacon. Spoon fat from cooking juices; serve with chicken. Garnish with chopped parsley; serve with mashed potatoes.

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 whole whole chicken

Steps:

  • Mix salt, paprika, cayenne pepper, onion powder, thyme, white pepper, garlic powder, and black pepper together in a small bowl.
  • Rub seasoning mixture over the entire chicken to evenly season. Put rubbed chicken into a large resealable plastic bag; refrigerate 8 hours to overnight.

I use the largest chicken breasts for this that I can find, so that they fill up the crock pot. Don't overcook, or you will have shredded chicken instead of chicken breasts.

2 tablespoon(s) fresh oregano, chopped
1/4 teaspoon(s) black pepper, fresh ground
3 tablespoon(s) butter
1 cup(s) chicken stock
1/4 cup(s) white wine
3 tablespoon(s) lemon juice
2 clove(s) garlic, minced
1 tablespoon(s) minced fresh parsley

Steps:

  • Pat chicken dry with paper towels. Combine oregano and pepper and rub over chicken. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the chicken breasts on each side in the butter. Transfer chicken to slow cooker.
  • Add broth, wine, lemon juice, and garlic to skillet and bring to a boil while stirring. Pour over chicken. Cover and cook on low power for 5 hours. Sprinkle with the parsley and cook an additional 15 minutes. Chicken should reach an internal temperature of 165°.
  • We like this served with rice pilaf or one of the Italian risotto dishes, and fresh asparagus or broccoli.

2 1/2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breast halves
1 1/2 teaspoons chicken seasoning (McCormick) or 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon pepper
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar

Steps:

  • To prepare chicken:.
  • Rinse chicken breasts. Pat dry with paper towels. Trim off any visible fat. Place half of chicken breasts in 3 or 4 quart slow cooker. Sprinke with half of chicken seasoning. Drizzel with 1 tablespoon vinegar. Add remaining chicken breasts. Sprinkle with remaining seasoning. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon vinegar.
  • To cook chicken:.
  • Cover and cook on high heat setting 2 1/2 hours or until chicken is cooked through. (NOTE: Do NOT overcook, or chicken will be dry.) Remove chicken to platter. Discard liquid in slow cooker. Drizzle remaining 2 tablespoons vinegar over chicken.

1 (1 1/4 ounce) envelope onion soup mix
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 cup prepared Italian salad dressing
1/4 cup water
14 -16 hamburger buns, split

Steps:

  • Place chicken in crockpot.
  • Sprinkle with soup mix and garlic salt.
  • Pour dressing and water over chicken.
  • Cover and cook on low for 8-9 hours.
  • Remove chicken and cool slightly.
  • Skim fat from cooking juices.
  • Remove chicken from bones and cut into bite-size pieces and return to crockpot.
  • Serve with a slotted spoon on buns.
  • I have also used boneless chicken pieces and cut them up before placing in the crockpot. You just need to adjust cooking time if doing it this way.

  • 3. Melt butter in a medium saucepan.
