PASTA WITH HAM AND PEAS
Great use for leftover ham! Quick and easy, ham and peas with pasta, cream, and Parmesan.

Steps:
- Cook the pasta: Heat 4 quarts of water and 2 Tbsp salt in a large pot for the pasta. Once the water starts to boil, add the pasta and cook at a rolling boil, uncovered, until al dente, cooked through, but still a little firm to the bite (the low end of the cooking times given on the package). Drain, reserving 1 cup of the pasta cooking water.
- Heat butter, add garlic, add ham and peas: While you are cooking the pasta, heat the butter in a medium skillet on medium heat until melted. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 to 2 minutes. Stir in the ham and the frozen peas.
- Add pasta water, cream, Parm, zest, salt, pepper to make sauce: Stir in 1 cup of the pasta cooking water which will help thaw the peas. Stir in 1/2 cup of cream, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and lemon zest.

The perfect way to use up all your leftover ham! It is amazingly creamy, comforting and kid-friendly!

- In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook pasta according to package instructions; drain well. To make the garlic parmesan cream sauce, melt butter in the skillet skillet over medium heat. Add garlic, and cook, stirring frequently, until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Whisk in flour until lightly browned, about 1 minute. Gradually whisk in chicken broth, thyme and basil. Cook, whisking constantly, until incorporated, about 1-2 minutes. Stir in half and half and Parmesan until slightly thickened, about 1-2 minutes. If the mixture is too thick, add more half and half as needed; season with salt and pepper, to taste. Stir in spaghetti, ham and peas, and gently toss to combine. Serve immediately, garnished with parsley, if desired.

- 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.Grease a 11-x 7-inch baking dish.Add 1 cup parmesan cheese all over the baking dish.
- 2. Cook ravoili according to package directions;drain and transfer to a large bowl.
- 3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.Add sliced onion,saute for 5 minutes.Add ham steak pieces and saute again for 5 minutes more,or until the onion is tender and the ham is lightly browned.
- 4. Use a slotted spoon,transfer ham and onion mixture to the bowl with ravoili.
- 5. Melt margarine in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat.Whisk in flour.Cook,whisking constantly,until the mixture is light golden brown,1 to 2 minutes.
- 6. Slowly whisk in milk,and bring to a boil;whisk vigorously to out any lumps.Whisk in sea salt/black pepper.Remove from heat,and slowly whisk in shredded sharp cheddar and monterey jack cheese and 1/2 cup parmesan cheese,until melted.
- 7. Pour the cheese sauce over ham and onion mixture and ravoili;stir in green peas.
- 8. Transfer to a prepared baking dish.Sprinkle with bread crumbs and remaining parmesan cheese on top.
- 9. Bake in preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes,or until bubbly and golden brown.Serve warm.
PASTA, HAM AND CHEDDAR AU GRATIN WITH ROSEMARY

- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Lightly grease a shallow 3 quart baking dish.
- Begin cooking pasta according to package directions.
- During the last few minutes of cooking the pasta - stir in the frozen peas and cook 1 minute or until the pasta is slightly under done and the peas have thawed.
- Drain and return to the pot.
- Add cream, ham, Cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, rosemary and freshly ground black pepper and toss until well blended.
- Spoon into prepared baking dish.
- Combine the bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese in a small bowl; sprinkle evenly over the pasta.
- Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until heated through and golden brown on top.
- Garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs if desired.
- Serve and enjoy!
