Peanut butter Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer cookies are bound to be the cutest cookie you'll bake this season!

½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
¾ cup peanut butter
⅓ cup granulated sugar
⅓ cup packed light brown sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1½ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
48 peanut butter red M&M candies
96 mini semisweet chocolate chips
Pretzels (broken into 96 1-inch pieces)

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375ºF. Line two baking sheets with parchment.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat together butter, peanut butter and sugars on medium speed until light, about 2 minutes.
  • Add egg and vanilla extract; beat until combined.
  • Stir in flour, baking soda and salt until a dough forms.
  • Roll into 1-inch balls and place 1 inch apart on prepared sheets.
  • Bake, one sheet at a time, until just set and bottoms are golden, 8 to 10 min.
  • For each cookie, immediately place 1 M&M in center for nose, 2 chocolate chips for eyes and 2 pretzel pieces on top for antlers. Transfer cookies on sheets to a wire rack and let cool completely.
  • Alternatively melt chocolate chips and use a bamboo skewer dipped in melted chocolate to draw eyes on the cooled cookies.

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 1/3 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
96 small round pretzel twists
1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips (96 chips)
1 tablespoon candies (48 candies)

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375°F (if using dark or nonstick cookie sheet, heat oven to 350°F). In large bowl, beat peanut butter, butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Beat in egg. Stir in flour and baking powder.
  • For each cookie, shape 1-inch ball of dough into triangle shape about 1 1/2 inches long. On ungreased cookie sheet, place 2 pretzel twists about 1 inch apart to look like antlers; press top of dough triangle gently into pretzels. Repeat with remaining dough and pretzels.
  • Bake 5 to 10 minutes or until edges just begin to brown. Immediately press 2 chocolate chips for eyes and 1 cinnamon candy for nose onto each cookie. Let stand 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.

1 pouch (1 lb 1.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ peanut butter cookie mix
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon water
1 egg
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
72 semisweet chocolate chips (about 3 tablespoons)
12 star-shaped Christmas pretzels or pretzel sticks

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375°F (350°F for dark or nonstick cookie sheet). In medium bowl, mix cookies as directed on package, using oil, water and egg.
  • Shape dough into 1 1/4-inch balls. On ungreased cookie sheet, place balls 2 inches apart. Dip bottom of drinking glass in sugar; press each ball until about 1/2 inch thick.
  • Pinch bottom edge of each cookie to form a longer point. At point of each cookie, place 1 chocolate chip for nose; press down slightly. Place 2 chocolate chips on each cookie for eyes; press down slightly. With small sharp knife, cut star points from Christmas pretzels to form 48 small V-shaped pretzels (if using pretzel sticks, cut into quarters). Press 2 pretzel pieces into top of each cookie for antlers.
  • Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until edges begin to brown. Remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack.

This is a recipe I found online last year. The kids in my Sunday School class really loved them. They are delicious, easy to make, fun and look fab on a Holiday Cookie Tray. Yield is an estimate.

1 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup smooth peanut butter
3 cups flour (scant)
2 eggs
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 (300 g) bag small pretzels (the heart shaped ones)
1 (250 g) bag M&M's

Steps:

  • Cream together the butter, peanut butter and both sugars.
  • Beat in the eggs, salt and vanilla.
  • Stir in the baking soda and flour, mixing well.
  • Roll into balls. Flatten the balls and shape into triangles. Place on Cookie sheets, 2 inches apart.
  • Place pretzels into the 2 top triangle corners for antlers. Place a red candy at the bottom corner for the nose and two green ones on the cookie for eyes.
  • Bake at 375*F for about 10 to 15 minutes.

1/2 cup butter, softened
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1-1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
44 candy-coated chocolate pieces
88 semi-sweet chocolate chips
44 pretzels, broken into 1-inch pieces

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350ºF.
  • Beat peanut butter, butter and sugars in large bowl with mixer until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; beat until blended. Add combined flour and baking soda; mix well.
  • Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place, 2 inches apart, on baking sheets. Bake 7 to 9 min. or until cookies are just set.
  • Place 1 chocolate piece immediately in center of each cookie for a nose (press down slightly if cookies aren't flat enough), 2 chocolate chips for eyes, and 2 pretzel pieces at top of cookie for antlers. Carefully remove cookies to wire rack; cool completely.

1/2 cup soft margarine
3/4 cup smooth peanut butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 1/4 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
48 small pretzels
M&M's plain chocolate candy (red and green, regular or mini)

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F.
  • Beat margarine, peanut butter, sugars, and egg thoroughly.
  • Mix all dry ingredients (except pretzels and M&Ms) together and blend into margarine mixture.
  • Roll dough into 24 large balls approximately 1 and 1/4" in diameter, and 24 smaller balls approximately 1" (a little less) in diameter.
  • Position one small ball under one large ball on a cookie sheet, then lightly press down and together to form shape of reindeer.
  • Press 2 pretzels into the top ball for antlers; add candy pieces for nose and eyes.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  • Remove and let cool.
  • Ideas: Red nose for Rudolph, brown for everyone else, and arrange in front of toy sled for edible centerpiece on kids' table.
